bypass media and media proxy
by RuiQiang Huang 12 Oct '11

12 Oct '11

Hi, I want my server sometimes does media proxy and sometimes bypass media. For example, I have A, B and C. A and B always in same internal network. C is outside. When A call B, I want to bypass media, so that media peer to peer. A call C will be media proxy. I know ICE can do that. But unfortunately, all my endpoint doesn't support ICE. I'm wondering is there anyway to configure this. Thanks

Voicemail counts saved messages wrong.
by Henrik Aagaard Sørensen 12 Oct '11

I'm running FreeSwitch 1.0.head on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Everything seems to work pretty well, but I'm experience some problems with the voicemail and how it counts saved messages. Currently I have 2 saved messages, but when it announce the number of messages in the voicemail it says "You have 3 saved messages". Looking in the directory storage/... there's also only 2 messages. So how come it counts that as 3 messages?

Cisco SPA509G Blf Issues
by Spencer Thomason 12 Oct '11

12 Oct '11

Hello all, I have several Cisco SPA509G phones, most without the SPA500 expansion module, but a few with. I'm having trouble getting the BLFs to work reliably. Specifically when a user hangs up the BLF continues to show them on the phone. Currently the server type is set to RFC3265_4235. The phones have the option for Asterisk, Broadsoft, and Sylantro as well. What's the difference? The phones are all running firmware v 7.4.9a. Freeswitch is on a public ip and all of the phones are behind NAT, but all other signaling is working very reliably. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Spencer

How to define extension capability in Media Proxy mode.
by RuiQiang Huang 12 Oct '11

Hi, Some of my endpoint support G.722, while others doesn't. My freeswitch is working at media proxy mode. Is there anyway to define codec capability for a particular extension? Thanks.

Multiple Customer Accountcode
by Max Clark 12 Oct '11

12 Oct '11

FreeSWITCH uses accountcode to specify the billing customer for a given call. This is simple enough when there is only one customer in the equation: Customer -> A-leg -> FS -> B-leg -> PSTN PSTN -> A-leg -> FS -> B-leg -> Customer I'm curious on thoughts when two customers are involved: Customer 1 -> A-leg -> FS -> B-leg -> Customer 2 Who do you set the accountcode to and why? Thanks in advance, -Max

MOD_LCR: IntraState and IntraLata Confusion.
by Alan Frisch 11 Oct '11

11 Oct '11

Been cutting my teeth on Mod_LCR today with inter/intra state costs and have run into a little issue that I am sure one of the refined experts can help with. Now if I have a rate list that is like: NPANXX,INTERSTATE,INTRASTATE 212203,0.00738,0.00716 ... 203302,0.00604,0.00716 I assume I should load the INTRASTATE into the intrastate_rate MySQL field (of course).... and would I then load the INTERSTATE into the rate field? What do I do about the intralata_rate field? If I leave intralata_rate 0 or NULL, then LCR fails. I only want to rate on inter/intra-state and not on LATA. If tried setting the intralata_rate to be the same as the interstate_rate which works fine in most examples, but with the above data (one number being in NY and the other in CT) the LCR selects an intralata rate instead of an interstate rate, due to the common lata (though the states are different). How can I get Mod_LCR to rate only by state? I am just playing with the LCR command in CLI and not in the dialplan yet. Thanks. AF.
