Ubuntu package broken?
by Daniel Silva 22 Nov '10

22 Nov '10

Hello, The Ubuntu package (maverick 32-bit) linked from the wiki seems to be broken. I enabled mod_dingaling in the config, but the module doesn't load. The log says: 2010-11-18 09:33:12.643219 [CRIT] switch_loadable_module.c:926 Error Loading module /opt/freeswitch/mod/mod_dingaling.so **/opt/freeswitch/mod/mod_dingaling.so: undefined symbol: gnutls_global_init** Rebuilding from the source packages doesn't help. Has anyone else run into this? - Daniel

diaplan and context
by jesse 22 Nov '10

22 Nov '10

A simple question: for sophia profile, it defines both context and dialplan: <profile name="internal"> // ... <param name="context" value="public"/> <param name="dialplan" value="XML"/> </profile> why directory/default/1000.xml, it only defines user_context, but not diaplan? <variable name="user_context" value="default"/> does that mean local users can only have XML diaplan? -jesse

Change mod_skypopen ptime to 10ms?
by Roman_ 21 Nov '10

21 Nov '10

Hi, I am using mod_skypopen to connect Skype to FreeSWITCH. I then tried to use CELT@48000h for incoming Skype calls and routing calls to a second FreeSWITCH box. I am aware that G722@16000h would be sufficient as the audio stream from Skype seems to be only 16kHz anyway (although Skype itself indicates it uses 24kHz), but my goal is to have two FreeSWITCH boxes connected using 48kHz audio, because I can :-). And I might add clients later using CELT. Anyway, when trying to connect a call, FreeSWITCH logs the following line and eventually ends up using G722@16000@20i (even though CELT has a higher preference). 2010-11-17 16:59:49.009646 [WARNING] sofia_glue.c:213 Codec CELT payload 98 added to sdp wanting ptime 10 but it's already 20 (L16:10:20), disabling ptime. Going through the source code of mod_skypopen I could see that it uses 20ms buffers (if I understand the source code correctly), and it calls "skypopen_codec()" with the parameter codec_ms equal to 20ms. So my question is: Is there any way to make FreeSWITCH use CELT@48000h@10i when handling a call coming from mod_skypopen? Would I need to change mod_skypopen to use 10ms buffers? Or is there a specific reason that mod_skypopen is using 20ms? Any help is greatly appreciated. Presence api for custom function
by Tóth Róbert 21 Nov '10

21 Nov '10

Hello How can i use the Presence api for my custom application? I would like to set my phone's BLF to set that other phones may or may not be able to pickup the ringing calls. I make a dialplan application for this, and the setting is stored in db. Almost everything is OK, the dialplan application works, BLF's color is changing, but after some seconds it changes back to red. It is obviously because there is not a real phone-ext behind the number of what the phone is subscribing. I thought if i use the presence api, its state does not changes until i send another event for that entity. But it is not true. What can i do? thx

Freeswitch not reply to a RE-INVITE
by Stephen Wilde 21 Nov '10

21 Nov '10

I have a problem with a customer: Freeswitch doesn't reply to all RE-INVITE (and all calls are dropped by customer switch after 180s for this reason). At RE-INVITE reception Freeswitch reply with a 100 Trying and never send a 200 OK. I have compared INVITE and RE-INVITE and to me seem to be ok, for example: INVITE: Call-ID: 26100859-3498991521-863759(a)SBC2.mydomain.com REINVITE: Call-ID: 26100859-3498991521-863759(a)SBC2.mydomain.com INVITE Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.1.4:5060 ;branch=z9hG4bK44ee87fffd4e657f4514fdad9de39f9e RE-INVITE Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.1.4:5060 ;branch=z9hG4bK0ed216868c20ca374c8893a4fb9a39b0 I have pastebin the captured packets: http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/14527 Can anyone help me? I'm using Freeswitch GIT commit 97c65a004ee9e9b88dad7ff4ac1b2ec893b8c5ba, Date Nov 15 2010 Thanks in advance, Stephen
