How to get mod_cdr_csv work properly
by Steve Xu 04 Mar '08

04 Mar '08

Hi all, mod_cdr_csv does log the call details to ./log/Master.csv file, however it will lose all the records when it rotate to Master.csv.[time stamp], it always create an empty file. The permission status showing on this empty file is -rw-------. I have give all the permission ( chmod +777) to ./log folder and still does not help. I and using SVN 7768 and start ./freeswitch when I login as root, all configuration is default. What else I need to do to keep the CDR in the history file? Thanks for your time, Steven Xu

newbie help needed
by Julien Claassen 04 Mar '08

Hi everyone! I'm sure I'm stupid here, but I can't make a call, because I didn't find out how. I browsed the documentation and I suppose I even configured freeswitch correctly. But then the "gettings started guide" told me how to change a directory and how to start an application, but omitted to mention how to make a call. Can I do it from the freeswitch commandline or do I have to register it with a real phone or a software phone, as in external application? I'm sorry if this mail got sent twice. But I need help here! Please! Newbie question
by Julien Claassen 04 Mar '08

04 Mar '08

Hello folks! Maybe I'm very dense or mislead. But I can't seem to make a call. I looked through the online-documentation and "getting started guide". There it told me very easy and commonly known things like how to change directories and how to start an application, but it didn't tell me what to type to make the call? I start freeswitch, no problem, but then? Isn't freeswitch a soft-phone itself? Do I still need another client application to make my calls? Please someone help me!
