Hi everyone! I'm sure I'm stupid here, but I can't make a call, because I didn't find out how. I browsed the documentation and I suppose I even configured freeswitch correctly. But then the "gettings started guide" told me how to change a directory and how to start an application, but omitted to mention how to make a call. Can I do it from the freeswitch commandline or do I have to register it with a real phone or a software phone, as in external application? I'm sorry if this mail got sent twice. But I need help here! Please! You need to load "mod_portaudio" to make a call with freeswitch (uncomment it in conf\autoload_configs\modules.conf.xml) When it's loaded you can do "pa call thePhoneNumber" On Tue, Mar 4, 2008 at 1:50 PM, Julien Claassen <julien@c-lab.de> wrote:

You also need to compile it.. its not compiled by default.. open up modules.conf in your src directory and then make mod_portaudio-install But you're better off getting a phone registered with it to test with.. /b On Mar 4, 2008, at 8:53 AM, Jonas Gauffin wrote:

Hi! OK, I used alsa, for I'm on linux. But now I can do: alsa call sip:500@ekiga.net It tells me, that it's fine. But it only opns a playback device. I can see this, because I patched ;my alsa therough to jack. Same thing happens if I try other calls. And I can't hangup. I tried: alsa list 1 alsa/500@ekiga.net [cryptic rest] active alsa hangup 1 Another alsa list shows the same, call still active. Another thing is, I only see output-devices opened, no input and I don't get to hear anything. Before I also called: alsa flags on ears mouth Which I suppose sets alsa to be for input and output. What might be wrong here?
