mod_java build problem
by jonathan augenstine 18 Nov '07

18 Nov '07

I am trying to build the mod_java module and I am encountering a compile problem. Initially, I encountered this on OSX and chalked it off to a BSD gcc issue (I have encountered issues with BSD build problems before and yet it will build successfully on Linux). I then attempted to build on Fedora and encountered the same exact problem. The error listed is a pointer initialization issue: making all mod_java Compiling freeswitch_java.cpp... Compiling switch_swig_wrap.cpp... Compiling mod_java.c... cc1: warnings being treated as errors mod_java.c:117: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type make[5]: *** [mod_java.o] Error 1 make[4]: *** [all] Error 1 make[3]: *** [mod_java-all] Error 1 make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make: *** [all] Error 2 mod_java.c: 115 static switch_application_interface_t java_application_interface = { 116 /*.interface_name */ "java", 117 /*.application_function */ java_function, 118 NULL, NULL, NULL, 119 /* flags */ SAF_NONE, 120 /* should we support no media mode here? If so, we need to detect the mode, and either disable t he media functions or indicate media if/when we need */ 121 /*.next */ NULL 122 }; When I look at the method prototype, it looks OK. I do see a difference between the implementation of mod_java and mod_python (which does build successfully) but I thought I would check to see if there is some build configuration issue before pursuing the mod_python implementation issue. Have changes been made to the mod/languages interface that would explain this compile error? Jonathan

simple point to point voip (ATA) connection?
by Zenaan Harkness 11 Nov '07

11 Nov '07

Hi, I have two ATAs - similar to Grandstream 488s, which allows me to convert analogue phones into IP streams. The config server for these devices has options for SIP and NAT/ STUN settings. Can anyone assist me in what I need to do to create a simple point-to-point call, essentially by entering IP addresses manually? The ultimate purpose is so that I can tunnel such connection through ssh tunnel/ forwarded ports. But the first step is to make the (point to point) connection. My machine is Ubuntu. Do I need a SIP server? If so, how can I ensure the RTP stream goes through an ssl forwarded port - ie, how do I ensure the RTP stream goes to a local port, which I then forward using ssh? Thanks in advance Zen

Looking for GXP2000 desk phones
by Trixter aka Bret McDanel 08 Nov '07

A couple of non-profit festival companies here in the netherlands are looking for voip phones, they have decided on the gxp2000. I am asking if anyone who is in the community if they are a reseller of these phones to give me a shout if they want to sell about 5 (5 seems to be about right, although it may be more but certainly wont be less than 4). Feel free to contact me directly if you dont want to do it over the list. Contact by email is preferred. I would like to get a price quote, along with estimated delivery delays if you do not have them in stock but could get them. They are likely to want to make the purchase early next week. Thanks -- Trixter http://www.0xdecafbad.com Bret McDanel Belfast +44 28 9099 6461 US +1 516 687 5200 http://www.trxtel.com the phone company that pays you!

there are also cases where switch_channel_set_variable is being called so you may want to cross reference those too also if you route call to the info app you can see many magic variables. some of these may be dups but you can factor them into the raw list. sip_from_user sip_from_port sip_from_uri sip_from_host sip_mailbox sip_from_user_stripped sofia_profile_name sip_req_user sip_req_port sip_req_uri sip_req_host sip_to_user sip_to_port sip_to_uri sip_to_host sip_contact_user sip_contact_port sip_contact_uri sip_contact_host sip_call_id sip_via_host sip_via_port sip_via_rport max_forwards switch_r_sdp remote_media_ip remote_media_port endpoint_disposition Anthony Minessale II FreeSWITCH http://www.freeswitch.org/ ClueCon http://www.cluecon.com/ AIM: anthm MSN:anthony_minessale@hotmail.com GTALK/JABBER/PAYPAL:anthony.minessale@gmail.com IRC: irc.freenode.net #freeswitch FreeSWITCH Developer Conference sip:888@conference.freeswitch.org iax:guest@conference.freeswitch.org/888 googletalk:conf+888@conference.freeswitch.org pstn:213-799-1400 ----- Original Message ---- From: Michael Collins <mcollins(a)fcnetwork.com> To: freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org Sent: Friday, November 2, 2007 6:35:48 PM Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Documentation Questions - updating wiki, channel variables Okay, I have come up with what I believe to be a pretty accurate list of channel variable names.
