Conference How to?
by Tom Chez 11 Jul '06

I would like to test the FreeSwitch conference app for use as a WIDEBAND conference server. I have a few questions. 1. Can I connect to the FreeSwitch server with IDEFisk (IAX softphone) clients using the Speex codec? 2. Does this provide better quality than using Asterisk as the server? If so, why? 3. Will it run on the latest CentOs Server OS? 4. Is there documentation for simple "up and running" functionality tests? Thanks - Let me know and I will try it! CDR status
by Yossi Neiman 11 Jul '06

11 Jul '06

Hey folks, For all of you who were wondering when Freeswitch will be supporting the logging of Call Detail Records, here is the current status: mod_cdr currently logs to three types of outputs: CSV format (CsvCDR), Perl Data Dumper Format to individual files (AnthmCDR), and to MySQL 4.1.x or greater using prepared statements (MysqlCDR). I have not yet implemented any failover routines, but at the moment that would mostly only pertain to the Mysql output anyway. I will not be able to implement those routines until after the initial inclusion of mod_cdr into the trunk. That inclusion I hope will be coming very soon as all we really need to do is do some additional testing to make sure I've not missed anything. I expect that we will be ready for testing very soon. Will keep the list posted when it is merged into the trunk. Yossi Neiman Cartis Solutions, Inc. - http://www.cartissolutions.com

New Conference Module and several unsubscribe emails.
by Anthony Minessale 10 Jul '06

10 Jul '06

Hello, I just released a new conference module late last week. If anyone has any feedback let me know. I appriciate your participation and your input. Your involvement will help us to get our first formal release out the door. BTW RE: unsubscribe emails The unsubscription is not done via email it's done by clicking the management link at the bottom of the email and going to the bottom of the subsequent page and stopping the subscription. The password is the one you chose when you signed up for your developer or community account that activated your membership in the first place. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less.
