Cannot fetch package from Signalewire repo
by Peter 26 Sep '22

I have upgraded my Raspberry Pi to Debian Bullseye and in the process of upgrading my old freeSWITCH 1.7. For convenience I am trying to fetch the binaries from the special repo at Signalwire. I have created a PAT and follow the info from this Confluence page: https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Raspberry+Pi However, I get no access when downloading the package information Err:5 https://freeswitch.signalwire.com/repo/deb/debian-release bullseye InRelease 401 Unauthorized [IP: 190.102.98.174 443] Can someone shine a light on this? Thanks.

fs_cli hang on debian 11 whith stable v1.10.7 (reproducible)
by Gilles SAUVAIRE 25 Sep '22

Hello, On a brand new Debian 11, I don't install any packages during install. Then I install the following packages : apt-get install autoconf libtool pkg-config libcurl4-openssl-dev uuid-dev libssl-dev build-essential libtool-bin unzip libsqlite3-dev libpcre3-dev libspeex-dev libspeexdsp-dev libedit-dev python3-dev libsndfile-dev liblua5.2-dev libsqlite3-dev yasm zip libtiff-dev vim net-tools ssh Using git I take the sources of version v1.10.7 Then I take the sources of sofia and spandsp cd sofia-sip ./bootstrap.sh ./configure make make install cd spandsp-master ./bootstrap.sh ./configure make make install cd freeswitch ./bootstrap.sh -j (cp modules.conf freeswitch) ./configure make make install LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib export LD_LIBRARY_PATH and run : /usr/local/freeswitch/bin/freeswitch -nonat -u root I don't do anything else, I keep the default config, I don't change anything. Just compiling... After launching freeswitch, I connect with fs_cli After the connection, hat the first command: show calls for example randomly, 50% of time, fs_cli freezes and becomes unresponsive. I did it, on several different servers here are the weirdest details... : For fs_cli hanging, there must be no activity on freeswitch. I run an fs_cli and it freezes. I run on a second console fs_cli and it freezes. I launch another fs_cli which does not freeze… and I do a “log 1 hello” This makes a trace, and all the fs_cli unfreeze…. With gdb I saw, fs_cli hangs in mutex locks I reproduce this on several debian 11.5, but the same source files compiling and work fine on debian 10.13 Do you have any ideas ?? Thanks Additional Information If anyone wants to reproduce. Here is the list of my module.conf applications/mod_commands applications/mod_conference applications/mod_distributor applications/mod_dptools applications/mod_esf applications/mod_expr applications/mod_hash applications/mod_spandsp applications/mod_test dialplans/mod_dialplan_xml endpoints/mod_loopback endpoints/mod_sofia event_handlers/mod_cdr_csv event_handlers/mod_event_socket formats/mod_local_stream formats/mod_native_file formats/mod_sndfile formats/mod_tone_stream languages/mod_lua loggers/mod_console loggers/mod_logfile loggers/mod_syslog timers/mod_posix_timer timers/mod_timerfd I used debian xen domu with the dom0 on debian 11 and on debian 10. Always the same thing happens. Work on domu debian 10 and hang on domu debian 11.

I broke our PBX :-( I upgraded to Debian 11 and FreeSWITCH 1.10.7. I copied all the configuration from the old system but I messed something up and it doesn't register. I get this: 2022-09-23 13:36:42.219720 99.63% [NOTICE] sofia_reg.c:459 Registering flowroute 2022-09-23 13:37:43.299709 99.60% [WARNING] sofia_reg.c:495 Timeout Registering flowroute 2022-09-23 13:37:44.299709 99.27% [WARNING] sofia_reg.c:516 flowroute Failed Registration [908], setting retry to 30 seconds. Setting sofia global siptrace on doesn't show anything. Sofia status shows this: external profile sip:mod_sofia@<my_ip>:5080 RUNNING (0) external::flowroute gateway sip:<my_username>@ us-west-or.sip.flowroute.com TRYING (retry: 24s) I don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions? -- Steve

hello I am trying to proxy all websocket requests though a nginx server in order to have wss -> nginx --> ws -> fs FS is listening on "127.0.0.01:5075" for ws and so nginx is configured to proxy-pass to "127.0.0.1:5075" when trying request from brower, I see a REGISTER coming to the freeSWITCH, but the VIA header seems invalid : nta.c:3146 agent_check_request_via() nta: Via check: invalid transport "SIP/2.0/WSS" do you know how to do to have correct VIA ? is there anything to deal with ACL ? my nginx configuration is this : ssl_protocols TLSv1 TLSv1.1 TLSv1.2 TLSv1.3; ssl_ciphers HIGH:!MD5:!RC4:!EXPORT:!aNULL:!eNULL:!SSLv2:!IDEA:!3DES; ssl_prefer_server_ciphers on; ssl_session_tickets off ; ssl_session_timeout 5m; ssl_session_cache shared:SSL:5m; ssl_certificate ssl.crt/mydomain.com_chain.crt; ssl_certificate_key ssl.key/mydomain.com.key; location / { proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade; proxy_set_header Connection "Upgrade"; proxy_http_version 1.1; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:5075; thanks regards

You're assuming that the other size is also following the rules, that is rarely the case. But not any harm in trying. RTP ptime changed multiple times
by Jose Fco. Irles Durá 19 Sep '22

19 Sep '22

Hello, I have a problem with some calls where the rtp stream from the other side changes the rtp ptime multiple times. I make a call with the sdp line "a=ptime:20" but the initial rtp comes with 40ms ptime. FreeSWITCH detects it and changes the ptime to 40ms and all works ok. Later in the conversation, without any re-invite, the rtp stream changed to 20ms. At this moment, FreeSWITCH does not detect the change and the audio sended by FreeSWITCH to the other legs is choppy. I think that the problem is on the other side, but the other side is a big operator and always this is a problem to solve issues. I tried to set "rtp_media_autofix_timing", but if I set this property, the first part of the conversation is discarded (ptime at 40ms, silence in my phone) and later I can listen the audio (when the ptime=20ms). Is there any solution for this? Best regards -- Jose Fco. Irles Durá

Hello Jose Sorry to interrupt the thread, but just wondering if you think adding a maxptime attribute in the SDP may be a work around for you? If you set this to 20, the switch between 20/40 should not happen. Kind regards Sameee From: Jose Fco. Irles Dur <josefu(a)gmail.com> Sent: Mon, 19 Sep 2022 11:59:42 GMT+0200 To: FreeSWITCH Users Help <freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] RTP ptime changed multiple times iWe couldn't verify the sender of this email. Tell the other side to fix their brokenness maybe?  How did you try setting the flag? Yes, I know that the problem is from the provider, but its response time is bad. I setted "rtp_media_autofix_timing=false" for testing, but when I setted, the first packets (40ms) are ignored and when the ptime is 20ms I listen to it. I think this is the correct behavior according to my understanding, so I can't solve the problem with the buggy provider. Best regards  /b On Fri, Sep 16, 2022 at 4:28 PM Jose Fco.
