About terminators attribute for playback
by Lin, Xiaoping 31 Aug '16

Hi! Mike, Thank you for your help resolving the cache files cleaning up issue we have. Now, I am having another question about the "terminators" attribute for playback tag. I did not see it in the online document and I did explore and plan to use it, but I am not sure it will be supported in the future. The book "FreeSwicth 1.2" did talk about it though. I would like to know that "terminators" will be kept as an attribute in the furture? Many Thanks! - Xiaoping ************* From online : https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/mod_httapi <work>*ACTIONS*</work> <playback file name error-file action digit-timeout input-timeout loops asr-engine asr-grammar><bind action strip>*EXPR*</bind></playback> : Plays a file and optionally collects input. Question: Desktop Sharing with mod_verto and vc
by Alexander Haugg 31 Aug '16

31 Aug '16

Hi, I’m trying the desktop sharing feature on the vc client. The Client 1007 and 1008 are connected with video and voice. 1007 activate desktop sharing. The FS receive the new Session with the destination 1008-screen. At first, the default dial plan had no rule for this destination and the call will hang up. I add an extension who bridge this incoming session to the client 1008, but the client 1008 show only the video from the client 1007 camera. On the Freeswitch Confluence page I don’t find any examples. What is the correct dial plan instruction to do desktop sharing with a 1:1 vc client connection? Thanks a lot!

Conference Member Voice Issues
by Deepika Yadav 30 Aug '16

30 Aug '16

Hi, I am setting up a conference call in Freeswitch having 20 participants. I am facing a problem where sometimes voice from a single party who is the moderator is not audible to rest of the participants even though the GSM signal strength is good. In one scenario, the conference lasted for 45 minutes, but the voice from the moderator went away after 40 minutes. Is there any timeout for conference Regards, Deepika

FreeSWITCH sporadically crashes. The crash began in FS 1.6.5, update to 1.6.9 and 1.7.0 and same problem. In both Backtrace I found this: #0 _int_malloc (av=av@entry=0x7f52b8000020, bytes=bytes@entry=1024) at malloc.c:3610 3610 unlink(av, victim, bck, fwd); #0 0x00007f42243df5f7 in __GI_raise (sig=sig@entry=6) at ../nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/raise.c:56 #1 0x00007f42243e0ce8 in __GI_abort () at abort.c:90 #2 0x00007f422441f327 in __libc_message (do_abort=do_abort@entry=2, fmt=fmt@entry=0x7f4224529488 "*** Error in `%s': %s: 0x%s ***\n") at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/libc_fatal.c:196 #3 0x00007f4224425194 in malloc_printerr (action=<optimized out>, str=0x7f4224526b57 "corrupted double-linked list", ptr=<optimized out>, ar_ptr=<optimized out>) at malloc.c:5022 #4 0x00007f4224428991 in _int_malloc (av=av@entry=0x7f3fa4000020, bytes=bytes@entry=1024) at malloc.c:3707 Is a software bug or ram corruption?

Transfer external caller to internally created dynamic nb_conference
by Cody Rosenbloom 29 Aug '16

29 Aug '16

Hi All, I am using nb_conferences in the default xml internally in our office location for dynamic conferences with no problem. I would like, if possible to be able to transfer an outside caller to the dynamically created conference based on the digits he enters ( like an IVR menu) but i'm a little shaky on the correct syntax. Could someone advise? I've tried the (seemingly) logical "transfer $1 XML default" but it doesn't work.Specifically i'm looking for what to put in the menu-exec-app bit of my IVR menu: <entry digits="/^30[2-9][0-9]$/" action="menu-exec-app" param="*<syntax for correct transfer to nb_conferences>*"/> Thanks Cody

Generating a BEEP tone
by William Colls 29 Aug '16

29 Aug '16

I want to be able to generate a beep tone as part of an announcement in a custom IVR that I am building. I can see where a beep is defined in vars.xml, but I am unsure as how I would get it into my announcement. I can also see that in several places a file beep.wav is invoked, but no such file exists on my system How do I use the beep variable? Where should the beep.wav file be located, and how/where would I get it from? Thanks for your time. William.

Question about httapi app cached audio files
by Lin, Xiaoping 29 Aug '16

29 Aug '16

Hello, We are developing an app using httapi (FreeSwitch 1.6). Our installation and support engineer reported cached audio files have been dumped under /var/lib/freeswitch/storage/http_file_cache They are not cleaned and take all the disk space after running for a period time. The files list look like: -rw------- 1 freeswitch daemon 124 Aug 12 16:28 ef98679d646e00a3a6f5b9265a6b8a21.meta -rw------- 1 freeswitch daemon 91192 Aug 12 16:28 ef98679d646e00a3a6f5b9265a6b8a21.wav -rw------- 1 freeswitch daemon 137 Aug 16 15:19 f02875bcd1db251e20d286d57aaff373.meta -rw------- 1 freeswitch daemon 40660 Aug 8 21:21 f02875bcd1db251e20d286d57aaff373.wav -rw------- 1 freeswitch daemon 124 Aug 12 15:51 f7b50a0efadb7dd589d37ba00115c8d1.meta -rw------- 1 freeswitch daemon 91192 Aug 12 15:51 f7b50a0efadb7dd589d37ba00115c8d1.wav -rw------- 1 freeswitch daemon 124 Aug 10 14:08 feb0d10f984b4ea85e9f6645f561bbf4.meta -rw------- 1 freeswitch daemon 91192 Aug 10 14:08 feb0d10f984b4ea85e9f6645f561bbf4.wav Even the files are the same, it was saved with different file names and never got cleaned. Anyone has the same problem and what is the correct way to deal with this? Many thanks! - Xiaoping
