Intercept chat message before forwarding it to receiver
by David Wafula 30 Apr '15

Dear all, We are implementing custom messaging system that is using freeswitch. I wish to intercept a chat message, prepend Country Code (or whatever i want) of the sender, then forward it to receiver. How does one intercept a chat message ? Regards, -- David Wafula

follow single endpoint redirect within group
by Podrigal, Aron 29 Apr '15

29 Apr '15

Hi, How would one handle a 302 redirect from received from one out of 10 users in the ring group? there is a channel variable here https://freeswitch.org/stash/projects/FS/repos/freeswitch/browse/src/mod/en… to not allow redirect so not to cause the call to be hijacked. However I must use manual-redirect to handle the routing further within fs. Wouldn't it be possible to add some code to originate a new leg to follow that endpoints 302 here https://freeswitch.org/stash/projects/FS/repos/freeswitch/browse/src/mod/en… Thanks -- Aron Podrigal - //Be happy :-)

Best sound file format for freeswitch
by Aqs Younas 29 Apr '15

29 Apr '15

Hi,users. I have 1-100 sound files (mp3) and wants to play these files in loop from 1 to 100 to more than 250 concurrent users. Currently these sound files have format. Codec: MPEG audio layer 1/2/3 (mpga) Channels: Stereo Sample Rate: 22050 Hz Bitrate: 64 kb/s While playing these files I see in freeswitch log. *2015-04-23 14:17:59.351859 [WARNING] switch_core_file.c:230 File has 2 channels, muxing to 1 channel will occur.* I want my freeswitch to have minimum load while playing these files (located on freeswitch server). I which file format I must convert these files to have my freeswitch with minimum load. Your Guys opinion is much appreciated. Thanks

Hi there, Due to a possible bug I had to revert back to 1.4.15 when when I try to do *apt-get install freeswitch-mod-xml-rpc* it tries to update to 1.4.18 and if I force apt-get install freeswitch-mod-xml-rpc=1.4.15 it complains *Version .... not found.* I just need this package , forgot to add it when I created the image :(. Duplicate DTMF Issue - Solved
by Jeremy 29 Apr '15

29 Apr '15

Hey Giovanni, Just an update, I made the changes as you suggested and it seems to be working very well! Thank you very much! Kind Regards, Jeremy Hey Giovanni, Awesome! I will compile it tonight and let you know how it goes. Thank you again for your help. Jeremy Hello Jeremy, ok, understood now. Gsmopen uses internally spandsp to detect DTMFs. Because of possible false multiple detections, there is an hardcoded minimum duration of 350 ms for each DTMF. In your specific case, edit mod_gsmopen.cpp in /usr/src/freeswitch/src/mod/endpoints/mod_gsmopen, and modify the value at line 3302: if ((new_dtmf_timestamp - tech_pvt->old_dtmf_timestamp) > 350000) { //FIXME: make it configurable change that value to 50000 or little less (is not configurable, as you can see :) ) and recompile (eg: from /usr/src/freeswitch type make mod_gsmopen-install) That should do the trick. Let us know if you encounter problems. -giovanni On Thu, Apr 23, 2015 at 2:39 PM, Jeremy <jhorsburgh at gmail.com <http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/listinfo/freeswitch-users>> wrote: >** Hi Giovanni, **>>* Thank you for your reply, sorry I didn't explain the problem very well. *>>* I am trying to detect a string of DTMF's with a short pulse duration (about 50ms) and the normal DTMF detection is not able to reliably do this (it seems to miss almost all of the tones). *>>* Spandsp appears to be able to reliably do this but when I enable spandsp, I get duplicate tones detected by both spandsp and gsmopen (I think its gsmopen, example below). *>>* You are correct.
