How do I troubleshoot port 8082 problems?
by he＠swehes.us 13 Nov '15

13 Nov '15

Hello Everyone. As I have followed https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/FreeSWITCH+1.6+Video [1] I have run into a problem with port 8082 and verto. I get the :8082 TLS FAILED! error when running the test_tls.sh file. Can someone pointing me in the right direction on how to fix this problem? I have tested and verified the SSL certificates (using Comodo's PositiveSSL), I have looked at the internal.xml and external.xml and vars.xml. I have looked at verto.conf.xml How do I go about debugging the port 8082 problem? Sincerely, Hans-Erik Links: ------ [1] https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/FreeSWITCH+1.6+Video

event based sipVicious blocker
by Russell Treleaven 13 Nov '15

I am working on a freeswitch sipVicious blocker. I would like to run it from within freeswitch. Is there a way to get events while running within freeswitch without running a socket via ESL::ESLconnection? #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use warnings; use ESL; my $c = new ESL::ESLconnection( "localhost", "8021", "ClueCon" ); $c->events( "plain", "CHANNEL_CREATE CUSTOM sofia::pre_register" ); while ($c->connected()) { my $event = $c->recvEvent(); #do some stuff }

FIFO and Bridge Help
by Dustin Torres 13 Nov '15

13 Nov '15

Hi, I am new to freeswitch and so far so good, but have a question I cannot find a solution for in the docs. I have a FIFO (may switch to mod_callcenter) and I have a few users logged in. I am trying to place outbound calls into the FIFO that will not originate until an agent has answered, and then the outbound call will begin ringing. What is the best way to do this? Currently I have the outbound call parked and then bridged when an agent picks up, but this means the outbound call can pickup first. I have a custom app that is placing these calls into the FIFO, I just want to make sure agents called into the FIFO (consumers) are called first before the outbound call. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Dustin

New Low Cost, High Accuracy ASR MRCPv1 Server featured on 11/4 ClueCon Weekly Conference Call
by Ray Keating 12 Nov '15

12 Nov '15

For those who might have missed the 11/4 ClueCon Weekly Conference call, a new low-cost, high accuracy Media Resource Control Protocol, Version 1 (MRCPv1) Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) server from Pontimax Technologies was featured. Pontimax's mrcpSP11-STT combines the high quality speech recognition technology of Microsoft's Speech Platform 11 with an MRCPv1 server. It has been tested extensively with the FreeSWITCH mod_unimrcp as well as with the uniMRCP ASR test client and UMC/uniMRCP client ASR scenarios. There is a free beta version available on our website, www.pontimax.com <http://www.pontimax.com> ; just use the Contact form to request a 45 day beta license. We're anticipating a "1.0" product release on 12/1 with two licensing options: a three concurrent license priced at $200 and a per machine license priced at $1,000. For the latter, the concurrent channels are only limited by the machine resources. Importantly, while the US English language module is installed automatically, there more than fifty language modules freely available from Microsoft. Please try our implementation of the classic pizza ordering ASR demo by dialing 970-610-5010. Questions? - my e-mail is rayk(a)pontimax.com <mailto:rayk@pontimax.com> -Ray Keating, Pontimax Technologies P.S. The 11/4 FreeSWITCH ClueCon Weekly conference call is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuxgEb9FMc0

How to upgrade FreeSWITCH w/o Internet access
by Bote Man 12 Nov '15

12 Nov '15

I have some FreeSWITCH servers that are isolated from the Internet, they only serve internal users. How would I go about applying the latest Master code to them? I just tested the latest 1.7 git successfully on a test machine at my shop, so could I tar the entire /usr/src/freeswitch tree on my test server and untar it on the production server and then build it? The target server was just compiled a couple months ago so this is really just to fix a specific bug that I found, so any gotchas from doing it this way? Thanks! --- Bote FreeSWITCH Docs Janitor http://freeswitch.org/confluence

Mod_callcenter in a load balancing environment
by Laurent Demont 12 Nov '15

12 Nov '15

Hello Freeswitch Community, I'm currently working on setting up a call-center solution for my company and as we are used to work with Freeswitch, I wanted to look at that solution first. The mod_callcenter seems to do exactly what I want but there's one point that is kinda critical: the solution should be horizontaly scalable (easy to add some new servers without interferring the work in progress) so the calls dedicated to a single queue might not be on a single server. Thus is it possible to interconnect multiple Freeswitch servers to a single (shared) database in order to handle many call centers and so share the load between the servers? If not, is there a way to easily load balance calls between multiple FS servers (still only in mod_callcenter context) or must the calls related to one queue be on a single server ? Thanks in advance for your help, Best regards -- Laurent Demont

mod_conference, api, moderator-pin
by roy j 11 Nov '15

11 Nov '15

Hi, all. Is there a possibility to set moderator-pin for a conference dynamically on creating via api similarly user pin (confname[@profile][+[pin][+flags{mute|deaf|...}]])? One can create conference without pin and just ask and check pin using 'play_and_get_digits', but maybe there is a way easier.
