Hi has anyone used FreeSWITCH with your cdrs going to rabbitmq? Will the rabbit mq interfere with FreeSWITCH? Like take up TCP ports? Or impact performance? Thanks Andre

Problem for getting dtmf value in Web Application.
by Manish Talwar 20 Sep '14

20 Sep '14

Hi, I am new in freeswitch and I want to integrate it with our IVR web application. I am using httapi for integrated it and able to play a audio file and TTS also by POST request to freeswitch. As per my requirement, I want to play multiple audio file by "playback", run TTS by "Speak", and get digit by "Play_and_get_digits" in a single dialplan. I am sending below request to freeswit for this and its working fine too: <document type="xml/freeswitch-httapi"><params></params><variables><myDigit>-1</myDigit></variables><work><getVariable name="myDigit" permanent="1"/><execute application="log" data="INFO my_chan_var contains ${myDigit}"/><speak name="extenSpeak" text="Welcome to Q Pay" engine="flite" voice="slt" ></speak><execute action="http://localhost:9000/ivr/fswelcomeresponse" application="play_and_get_digits" data="0 1 1 2000 # ivr/MP3/dial_menu_index_five.mp3 '' myDigit ''" /><execute application="log" data="INFO my_chan_var contains ${myDigit}"/><execute application="log" data="INFO my_chan_var contains ${myDigit}"/><playback name="exten" file="ivr/MP3/dial_menu_index_one.mp3" action="http://localhost:9000/ivr/fswelcomeresponse" digit-timeout="1000" input-timeout="1000" ><bind>~\d{1,3}#{0,1}</bind></playback><execute application="log" data="INFO my_chan_var contains ${myDigit}"/><speak name="extenSpeak1" text="Press two for english." engine="flite" voice="slt" ></speak><execute application="log" data="INFO my_chan_var contains ${myDigit}"/><playback name="exten" file="ivr/MP3/dial_menu_index_four.mp3" action="http://localhost:9000/ivr/fswelcomeresponse" digit-timeout="1000" input-timeout="1000" ><bind>~\d{1,3}#{0,1}</bind></playback><execute action="http://localhost:9000/ivr/fswelcomeresponse" application="play_and_get_digits" data="0 1 1 2000 # ivr/MP3/dial_menu_index_five.mp3 '' myDigit ''" /><execute application="log" data="INFO my_chan_var contains ${myDigit}"/><execute application="log" data="INFO my_chan_var contains ${myDigit}"/><speak name="extenSpeak2" text="Press star to repeat." engine="flite" voice="slt" ></speak></work></document> Currently, Its playing all commands as mentioned in dialplan and then move to Action URL. ?But I need to send my request to Action URL immidieatly when user press any digit. Also, I am able to get dtmf digit by "log" command and its printed on freeswitch console too, but I am not able to get this dtmf value in my web application. Please let me know, how to I send my request to Action URL immidieatly when user press any digit and how can I read dtmf value in my web application. Thanks, Regards, Manish Talwar

I am using mod_nibblebill but heartbeat doesn't fire after specified value. Here is my nibblebill.conf.xml file <configuration name="nibblebill.conf" description="Nibble Billing"> <settings> <param name="odbc-dsn" value="odbc://freeswitch"/> <param name="db_table" value="users"/> <param name="db_column_cash" value="balance"/> <param name="db_column_account" value="accountcode"/> <param name="global_heartbeat" value="5"/> <param name="lowbal_amt" value="5"/> <param name="lowbal_action" value="play ding"/> <param name="nobal_amt" value="0"/> <param name="nobal_action" value="hangup XML default"/> <param name="percall_max_amt" value="0.001"/> <param name="percall_action" value="hangup"/> </settings> </configuration> After works perfectly after i set heartbeat from fs_cli for current session. Why heartbeat is not being fired from nibble.conf.xml file.? Thanks in advance.!

Re: [Freeswitch-users] sofia_presence generates NOTIFY but not sending NOTIFY for shared call appearance (SCA)

Try using single quotes for origination_caller_id_name='Name With Spaces' ?? Apparently if you set origination_caller_id_name to a value with quotes (") like: origination_caller_id_name="Ext. 1000" It breaks the NOTIFY while: origination_caller_id_name=Ext. 1000 works fine. NOTIFY is generated, not sent. If one of the SCA phones makes an outbound call, SCA does work properly. It only seems to happen when the 3 phones are rang and only one answers. Thanks.

mod_nibblebill. Can't check - channel is not initialized for billing!
by Aqs Younas 19 Sep '14

Hello, Everybody I am using mod_nibblebill for billing of realtime calls.Its heartbeat fire does not fire after 1 second as i have specified in my nibblebill.conf.xml file. After call is completed nibblebill update the database balance column according to given formula. [time call ended] - [time call answered] x [rate per minute] = $total bill rate Though this formula is used when global_heartbeat is off. Here is my nibblebill.conf.xml <configuration name="nibblebill.conf" description="Nibble Billing"> <settings> <param name="odbc-dsn" value="odbc://freeswitch"/> <param name="db_table" value="users"/> <param name="db_column_cash" value="balance"/> <param name="db_column_account" value="accountcode"/> <param name="global_heartbeat" value="1"/> <param name="lowbal_amt" value="5"/> <param name="lowbal_action" value="play ding"/> <param name="nobal_amt" value="0"/> <param name="nobal_action" value="hangup"/> <param name="percall_max_amt" value="0"/> <param name="percall_action" value="hangup"/> </settings> </configuration> When i apply this on Freeswitch cli for channel uuid i get this.. freeswitch@internal> nibblebill 3f3f3b4a-fe4e-47d0-a43a-e1d8a54c6dfe check -ERR no reply 2014-09-19 04:30:38.704124 [INFO] mod_nibblebill.c:793 Can't check - channel is not initialized for billing! 2014-09-19 04:30:38.704124 [INFO] mod_nibblebill.c:888 Current billing is at $-99999.000000 Can someone please tell where i am doing something wrong.:)
