Freeswitch sending NOTIFY & OPTIONS to UAC directly bypassing proxy
by Rahul MathuR 15 Jul '14

15 Jul '14

Hello, I have the network where Freeswitch is working as a SIP Server, Kamailio is a proxy and UACs. UAC(s)<---------------->Kamailio<------------------->Freeswitch I can see that REGISTER goes through kamailio to Freeswitch. But Freeswitch is sending NOTIFY & OPTIONS to the UAC directly without passing it through kamailio. Could somebody please help me here in achieving this ? Thanking you in anticipation. -- Warm Regds. Re: [Freeswitch-users] mod_cdr_mongodb and not correct start_uepoch (*_uepoch) values
by Sergey Zhuravlov 14 Jul '14

14 Jul '14

Hi! mod_cdr_mongodb module has problems. if all 32-bit, instead of the values we have always start_uepoch ": 2147483647 -- it is wrong. If on different servers FS (32-bit) and mongodb (64-bit), the 32-bit FS mod_cdr_mongodb just not correctly saves the data from the database. And we have start_uepoch ": 2147483647. And only if all is 64-bit, the data save correctly. It looks like a bug, since there is no need to save not the correct data in the case of 32-bit mod_cdr_mongodb? >Reading the manual I'm guessing you're on a 32bit platform. How to play a prompt(mid-call) after calls are bridged
by Srini K 14 Jul '14

14 Jul '14

Hi, The call is bridged between leg a and leg b. How to play a prompt in the midcall only towards leg b after receiving some dtmf from leg b. After getting dtmf from leg b, I tried to play the prompt by bridgedSession = new ManagedSession(outBoundUuid); bridgedSession.StreamFille("prompt.wav", 0); But it didn't work. Do I need to do something similar to MoH? Thanks in advance.Srini

Any one have experience for Asterisk register on freeswitch ?
by Shaw X 14 Jul '14

14 Jul '14

I am newbee of freeswitch.( many year experience on asterisk / Elastix / freepbx) I checked freeswitch is great as a soft switch, and Asterisk (Elastix / freepbx / PIAF and so on) have more feature as the pbx. So my idea is using freeswitch as the the main hub ( to SIP trunk, which will provide hundreds DID to many PBXes like asterisk. I checked forum, looks the wiki only have FreeSwitch as the client of Asterisk, which my requirement is reverse. Asterisk as FreeSwitch client. I tested using x-lite can successfully register on freeswitch, and can dial in dial out with no problem, however, I using Asterisk (Elastix) register on FreeSwitch ( both public IP), at Asterisk side, I can see asterisk registered on freeswitch, however, I use another freeswitch exten (for example 1003 as example config) dial asterisk (exten 1000 ) system not working. ( voice response, "the exten 1000 is not available, ....".) but if I using x-lite register the free switch, 1003 can dial / ring 1000. system environment is Debian 7.5 with binary code from freeswitch. (not compile on the Debian VM) Debian 7.5 is install as a Virtual machine on VMware 5.5 host. another problem is MOH not working. Any ideas are appreciated.

Automation of calls?
by Bhavesh Soni 14 Jul '14

14 Jul '14

Guys, Are there APIs available to automate calls in freeswitch. DIALING: TIll now using mod_lua, I have tried "originate"; And I am able to establish a call(again tweaking some logs, i found endpoint URI and used this with originate); In logs I can see multiple UUIDs generated, and I dont know which one is the correct for the session initiated with which I can answer from other end. Answering: On other side, to answer incoming call, I am not able to find or do anything as of now. I have tried uuid_answer; but with no luck.(I tried uuid_answer with all different UUID I saw at originate), But no luck. Apart from these, are there other approaches. I am using freeswitch version 1.2.1(I know quite an old; but I dont have much liberty to update this.) -- Regards Bhavesh GS LAB (O) +91 20 4671 1256 (M) +91 86000 64681

undefined symbol: lua_settop
by Peter Villeneuve 13 Jul '14

13 Jul '14

Hi, I'm trying to use a lua script to grab voicemail PINs from Kamailio's db as shown here <http://kb.asipto.com/freeswitch:kamailio-3.3.x-freeswitch-1.2.x-sbc> However, I get the following error message which is driving me nuts. Googling for the "undefined symbol: lua_settop" error message doesn't seem to return anything relevant, and looking around the FS wiki here <https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_lua> didn't help either. [ERR] mod_lua.cpp:199 error loading module 'luasql.mysql' from file '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lua/5.1/luasql/mysql.so': /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lua/5.1/luasql/mysql.so: undefined symbol: lua_settop stack traceback: [C]: in ?
