max simultaneous calls in freeswitch using sip
by bawajan 20 Jan '14

20 Jan '14

Dear Team, I am using freeswitch and want to make 1500 simultaneous calls using mod_sofia. Hence, could you please let me know. Is it possible to do it and also suggest required hardware capacity to handle this. Thanks in advance, Bawajan -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/max-simultaneous-calls-in-fre… Sent from the freeswitch-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Voicemail prompt customizations
by Siri MM 20 Jan '14

20 Jan '14

Hi, Is it feasible for me to add additional voicemail promtps to the current ones? For example, if voicemail is disabled for a user, but the user tries to access his voicemail box, the prompt just says "Good bye" and hangs up - is there a way I could add some additional recording in this scenario, such as "Voicemail is not enabled, good bye" ? Thanks!

FTDM+DAHDI+OSLEC problem
by Nandy Dagondon 19 Jan '14

19 Jan '14

Hello everyone, I installed this on CentOS 6.5 x_64. It looks like the DADHI+OSLEC drivers are properly installed but I still have echo problem. When I do "service dahdi status" w/ no FXO call, a sample line displays: 1 FXO FXSKS (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC) When a call is made, the line remains the same. However, on Elastix, (by rebooting on another disk), the display is: 1 FXO FXSKS (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC) (EC: OSLEC) It seems OSLEC doesn't kick-in during calls. I have tried recompiling in this order: dahdi+oslec patch then FS I was baffling because it was working on FS 1.2.15. It's not working on 1.2.17. Unless there's changes in mod_freetdm. I appreciate for advices where to attack this problem. /Nandy

NDLB-connectile-dysfunction and sending SMS
by Steve Kieu 18 Jan '14

18 Jan '14

Hello everybody, To fix the problem with linphone (wrong contact IP in teh sip packet that makes FS send ACK to local IP address and then linphone drop call after 30secs or so) I added <variable name="sip-force-contact" value="NDLB-connectile-dysfunction"/> to my directory/default.xml But that changes stop sending SMS from working! when sending SMS (via sip MESSAGE) the sms is not delivered. FS does not say anything in fs_cli - if I load mod_sms and then it print out log saying it pasing the chatplan correctly and ends up with action send() but the actual sip message never gets into the client machine Is it know problem? Is ther any work around that? I am using FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.head on OpenWRT many thanks, regards, -- Steve Kieu

Load only selected configuration files with mod_xml_curl
by mbo 17 Jan '14

17 Jan '14

Hi, I have a question regarding mod_xml. I want to get only the sofia configuration via mod_xml_curl. If I configure the binding for „configuration“, freeswitch tries to get ALL configurations through mod_xml. However mod_curl tries to load the xml configuration file, it throws an error for each configuration which cannot be retrieved. As we are monitoring the freeswitch log, we receive a bunch of errors notifications every time a reloadxml is performed. Is it somehow possible to configure mod_xml_curl to only get selected configuration files ? Or is it possible to send back a special HTTP Response when the file is not found that no error is written to the freeswitch log? Thanks Markus

recording to remote server from lua
by Neil Patel 17 Jan '14

17 Jan '14

Hi All, I'm trying to record a wav file to a remote server. Just passing in a URL to session:execute("record" ,...) doesn't work. I don't see any errors in FS or in the remote web server log. What is the correct lua command? Also, how do I configure my remote (web) server to accept the file? Thanks, Neil

Problems migrating from CentOS to Ubuntu
by Yehavi Bourvine 16 Jan '14

16 Jan '14

Hello, I am trying to migrate my FreeSwitch from CentOS servers to Ubuntu server, and face two problems which happen on the Ubuntu but not on CentOS. Environment: Production: CentOS 5.9, physical machines, works OK. Development: CentOS 6.5, virtual machine, works OK Test: Ubuntu 12.0.4LTS, virtual machine, problematic. All run Freeswitch 1.2.17 The two problems I have, using the same configuration files: - After a few hours FS hangs accessing the database (MySQL via ODBC). The hung query is: | 175 | fs_core | localhost:53718 | fs_core | Query | 34 | updating | delete from sip_registrations where expires > 0 and expires <= 1389877518 and hostname='old-control' | BTW, select with the above conditions returns null set. - TLS registration fails. After "client hello" FS machine rejects it with "handshake error". At the debug I get only a message which states a reason of 1. Has anyone else notices these issues or have an idea what is wrong with the Ubuntu setup? I don't think the problem is with FS as it works ok on CentOS. Thanks! __Yehavi:
