Prevent A leg from hangup after bridge with inbound ESL socket
by Alex Massover 09 Oct '13

09 Oct '13

Hi, I have a very simple dialplan that just do park for incoming calls. All rest of leg management is done via ESL inbound socket. I'm trying to do the same behavior like in this dialplan example, but from ESL inbound socket: <action application="set" data="hangup_after_bridge=false"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/internal/1001@$${domain}"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/internal/1002@$${domain}"/> The problem is with bridge API, if B leg doesn't answer (e.g. 404, or busy), A leg disconnects. But I'm trying to prevent A leg from disconnecting in order to do bridge to other place. Looks like hangup_after_bridge=false, park_after_bridge=true, transfer_after_bridge etc don't have any effect when bridge done from inbound socket. A leg disconnects always. Is there any way to keep A leg after bridge with inbound socket? I'm aware of originate, but prefer to user bridge. -- Best Regards, Alex Massover

execute_on_fax_success/failure

I am using excute_on_fax_success to call a script when a fax is received, the script converts the fax to pdf and emails it, Is there a way to pass the number of pages received, ie, a variable created by spandsp. Everything works, but I do not seem to be able to pass the variables. <condition field="destination_number" expression="^1(\d{10})$|(\d{10})$"> <action application="set" data="faxtempdirectory=/faxfiles/${caller_id_number}"/> <action application="system" data="mkdir ${faxtempdirectory}"/> <action application="set" data="faxDirection=outbound"/> <action application="set" data="emailAddress=$1$2@${fax2net_server}"/> <action application="set" data="faxFile=$1$2-${caller_id_number}-${strftime(%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M-%S)-Success}"/> <action application="set" data="execute_on_fax_success=system /./var/mail/sentfaxes/fax2mail.sh ${faxFile} $1$2@${fax2net_server} ${fax_security_code} ${fromRc} fax2net_orig=${fax_email}= ${fax_transfer_rate}"/> <action application="answer"/> <action application="playback" data="silence_stream://2000"/> <action application="set" data="fax_enable_t38_request=true"/> <action application="set" data="fax_enable_t38=true"/> <action application="rxfax" data="${faxFile}.tif"/> <action application="hangup"/> </condition> Thanks Darcy Primrose

Error Creating SIP UA for profile: X
by Henrik Aagaard Sørensen 04 Oct '13

04 Oct '13

I've had a server running only FreeSWITCH for about 6 months now. I have had it turned off for some while. Now, when trying to start FreeSWTICH, I get the errors: Error Creating SIP UA for profile: X where X differs between internal, external and others. When starting my CentOS 6 server I run: service iptables stop service ip6tables stop just to make sure that they aren't blocking anything. I have nothing else running on CentOS. I've tried to log everything from console, warning etc. but there's nothing indicating what the problem is. Can someone help me out?

Hi, Anyone with an experience of SIP SIMPLE IM Messaging implemention? I dont see the stuff well documented on http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_sms <http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_sms> I followed simple steps to test it with reply back as in default chatplan. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <include> <context name="default"> <extension name="demo"> <condition field="to" expression="^(.*)$"> <action application="reply" data="Hello, you said: ${_body}"/> </condition> </extension> </context> </include> I tested it with eyeBeam, Jitsi, it doesnt work, and i do not see reply back. and i see in logs: 2013-03-07 14:58:49.090936 [INFO] mod_sms.c:334 Processing text message 9999->9999 in context default Chatplan: 9999 parsing [default->demo] continue=false Chatplan: 9999(a)198.84.61.52 Regex (PASS) [demo] to(9999(a)198.84.61.52) =~ /^(.*)$/ break=on-false Chatplan: 9999(a)198.84.61.52 Action reply(Hello, you said: ${_body}) -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/IM-messaging-on-FreeSwitch-tp… Sent from the freeswitch-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Faxing problems if B leg offers T.38
by Rob Morin 04 Jul '13

04 Jul '13

Im having problems faxing if the B leg offers T.38. Several scenarios, but always the same result. First, the architecture FAX à ATA (T.38 optional) à FS à Carrier à Destination (Possibly another carrier (PSTN) and the fax machine) On my ATA, T.38 is enabled (Auto Detect). If the destination supports T.38, the Carrier will offer it to Freeswitch. If the Destination doesnt support T.38, the B leg doesnt offer it and the faxes go through. Ive set Freeswitch as: <action application="set" data="fax_enable_t38=true"/> <action application="export" data="t38_passthru=true"/> When thats the case, and the B leg offers T.38, Freeswitch passes through the offer and the ATA responds, 3 times. But the response never gets sent to the B leg, so it terminates the call after about 30 seconds. When I set Freeswitch as: <action application="set" data="fax_enable_t38=false"/> The B leg still offers T.38 if its other side is capable. Freeswitch doesnt pass the offer through and the B leg terminates the call after about 30 seconds. Im running on a recent git ( FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.head (git-86d757d 2011-05-17 22-51-47 -0500) ). Ive had no success attempting to configure FS as a gateway. Frankly, T.38 passthrough has had the most success, mostly when the other ends arent T.38 capable and it stays in G711u. Is there something else I need to do to enable T.38 in passthrough mode? Thank you, Rob Morin PS I can provide tcpdumps of this, or whatever else is necessary.

Re: [Freeswitch-users] problems with freeswitch + zrtp in proxy-media mode
by Eli Burke 27 Jun '13

We were never able to get Trusted MITM working, but ZRTP can work in proxy-media mode as long as your client sends the zrtp-hash attribute in its SDP. When Freeswitch sees the zrtp-hash attribute it enables logic to pass the zrtp packets through unmolested (using the same SSRC for each call leg). As Mehroz noted in his original question, Linphone does not currently support zrtp-hash so this can't work. However, Mehroz, if you look in the Feb 2013 archives of the linphone-developers mailing list you can find a patch that adds zrtp-hash support to Linphone. It was recently rejected because it causes side-effects when video is enabled, but you can test it out and see if it fixes the your problem. -Eli On Apr 9, 2013, at 12:01 PM, freeswitch-users-request(a)lists.freeswitch.org wrote: > From: Steven Ayre <steveayre(a)gmail.com> > Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] problems with freeswitch + zrtp in proxy-media mode > Date: April 9, 2013 12:00:21 PM EDT > To: FreeSWITCH Users Help <freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> > Reply-To: FreeSWITCH Users Help <freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> > > > There is a way to do Trusted MITM I believe there is a setting for that > > <action application="set" data="zrtp_enrollment=true"/> > > > On 9 April 2013 16:11, Ken Rice <krice(a)freeswitch.org> wrote: > Also, keep in mind that FS in a mode other then proxy or bypass media, when > you have a ZRTP call is kind of pointless, that leads to a vector for a man > in the middle attack which is also the reason the SASs don't match is you > have 2 different ZRTP legs with FS in the middle decrypting and > re-encrypting the conversation... > > There is a way to do Trusted MITM I believe there is a setting for that > > > On 4/9/13 4:57 AM, "mehroz" <mehroz.ashraf85(a)gmail.com> wrote: > > > Any luck with this issue? > > > > I am having the same configurations, FS acting as normal mode i.e bypass and > > proxy on default(commented) > > > > Clients are Linphone, and SAS does not match...... > > > > Over jitsi ... Dynamic specify the outbound GW within source code
by fieldpeak 27 Jun '13

Dear friends, i have FS for PSTN outbound call using below dial plan, <extension name="CallToPSTN" > <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(0\d+)$" > <action application="bridge" data="sofia/internal/$1(a)1.2.3.4" /> </condition> </extension> While, now i need dynamically specify the outbound GW’s IP address according to the return result of the external command before routing in the source code , e.g. if the external command return FS the IP address of OB GW 6.7.8.9, then <action application="bridge" data="sofia/internal/$1(a)6.7.8.9" /> however, i don't know which function i should call within the source code to realize it, could anybody help to advise, P.S. i know there is existing module “mod_xml_curl” can realize similar function, however, I could not use it for this case… thanks a lot!
