Event Socket
by Roger Castaldo 11 Jun '12

11 Jun '12

Hi everyone i have a simple question, is there an api command that will list all the available events that can be listened on by the event socket? i realize there is a wiki page containing a list but for my purposes an api command to list the available event names would be much better.

State of GUIs
by Brett Wilson 10 Jun '12

10 Jun '12

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any info on the current state of FS guis? It seems that most of the gui projects (blue.box, fusionpbx) have been mostly abandoned in terms of development. I would like something simple for end users to self-administer if needed. The problem I have with fusionpbx is that config files are overwritten by whatever is in the database. If you hand-edit a config file, fusion will not parse the file and load those settings into the interface. I realize that takes much more coding to do than using a database to simply write config files. But I feel that the freeswitch interface could be improved anyway. Unfortunately it seems that project has been abandoned. There have not been any releases since mid-2011. Anything new out or around the corner? Re: [Freeswitch-users] Questions on Building an application for FreeSWITCH
by Kristian Kielhofner 09 Jun '12

Glad to hear. I still say to build the app and logic completely separately and connect it to FreeSWITCH over the socket using ESL. -- Kristian Kielhofner http://blog.krisk.org ----- Original Message ----- From: freeswitch-users-bounces(a)lists.freeswitch.org <freeswitch-users-bounces(a)lists.freeswitch.org> To: freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org <freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> Sent: Wed May 12 18:28:13 2010 Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Questions on Building an application forFreeSWITCHThis is legit. We are not into harassing anyone. There are too many people doing that already. We currently have this working on a Windows/Dialogic platform, but would like to get it over to FreeSWITCH for a number of reasons. It is always nice to avoid spending alot of time developing using a method that you later find has serious issues or limitations and then having to change horses and start over. I just thought I would tap on someone else's wisdom in regards to a good way to talk to FS that works well. I did notice that the wiki talks like LUA is the preferred way to go. Freeswitch & FreeTDM question...
by Frank Busalacchi Jr 06 Jun '12

06 Jun '12

Hi, and thanks in advance for your help. I run freeswitch with a SangomA A102 (FXO/FXS) card. The freeswitch code base that it is running on is about 3 months old. It is a production server, and taking it down other than in the middle of the night is problemsome... It is running on Debian Lenny. In the next couple of days I am going to be spending the night, doing a fresh install of the latest debian (squeeze) at which time I will do a fresh GIT, fresh sangoma wanpipe and be totally current on FreeSwitch. My Question: I am having intermittent problems with my FXO/FXS ports. Basically I have fax machines attached. Every so often (sometimes 5-10 days in between), the fax machine says that it has no dial tone. I am able to resolve the problem by going to the CLI and unloading mod_freetdm and then reloading mod_freetdm. When the "no dialtone problem" is happening, unloading mod_freetdm takes 10 seconds or so...I have even had it crash freeswitch during the unload... I haven't attempted to narrow down the issue yet, and thought I might ask for some guidance before heading down that path. One of my thoughts is that perhaps the Hardware is bad, but the fact that unloading/loading mod_freetdm fixes it makes me think it is something in mod_freetdm... Your thoughts? -Frank

unallocated number error after integrating FS with Kamailio
by Sherif Omran 05 Jun '12

05 Jun '12

Hello Guys, I have Kamailio + FS running on the same server and integrated together according to this tutorial as SBC + Media Services http://kb.asipto.com/freeswitch:kamailio-3.1.x-freeswitch-1.0.6d-sbc Issues: 1- 2 Sip softphones are registered. I can see them online in kamailio. When I call FS Echo service, it works. However, when I call the other softphone number, it gives unallocated number. 2- If user is unreachable, I should get to his voice mail. But I get also unknown Invalid application voice mail. Any body figures this error? Thanks Sherif Omran

How do you split bridged calls ?
by Gilbert Amar 04 Jun '12

04 Jun '12

Hello I am trying to split bridged calls. Using mod_event_socket I try this api uuid_transfer c1061126-a429-11e1-9da3-85575e903927 -both playback::phrase:AC_0003: It does not work as FS seems to really need an extension. the other option I could try is : api uuid_transfer c1061126-a429-11e1-9da3-85575e903927 -both park and then for each leg: sendmsg call-command: execute execute-app-name: playback execute-app-arg: phrase:AC_0003: Is there a better way ? I am using FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.head (git-fdaa155 2012-02-10 13-17-54 +0000) Thank you Gilbert

Stuck calls
by Muhammad Naseer Bhatti 03 Jun '12

03 Jun '12

I got like 46 calls stuck in FreeSWITCH. The switch is not doing any traffic right now. It is running FreeSWITCH Version 1.2.0 (git-0709cc6 2012-05-16 02-50-13 +0000). Should I file jira or look for something else? They are mostly in CS_INIT,,,,,,,RINGING -- CS_ROUTING,,,,,,,DOWN and CS_CONSUME_MEDIA state. Thanks.
