Ideas needed for IVR phrases or other sounds for FreeSWITCH
by Michael Collins 17 Feb '08

17 Feb '08

FYI, We are soliciting ideas for sound prompts that need to be recorded. Please post any phrases you think would be nice to have in FS. As an example, we are working on sample IVR phrases, like for the demo IVR’s in ivr.conf.xml as well as some sort of message like, "Congratulations! Your FreeSWITCH installation is operational and will remain that way as long as no Asterisk source code is introduced…" Or something like that! ☺ Please offer your suggestions… Thanks, Mercutioviz

Re: [Freeswitch-users] Problems with xml_curl and directory
by Anthony Minessale 07 Feb '08

It works similar to how the dialplan hook works. When the sip registration or attempted call comes in with the authorization header, the mod_sofia will do a directory lookup in the xml for the user/domain combo specified in the request. This is done by first requesting the entire domain then iterating the <user> tags in that result. So you have 2 choices when the request for the domain comes in to your cgi. 1) Do exactly as it wants and deliver a <domain> with all of the users for that domain and let the core find the right one. 2) Look at the query params in the POST data where many hints are provided about what the search is for (you may find this familiar from the dialplan) You can elect to find the exact user and return a <domain> with just 1 <user> in it. As far as doing the auth yourself you have 2 options as well. 1) store the a1-hash in your database and return that in the a1-hash user param md5hash(<user>:<realm>:<pass>) 2) all the bits of the authorization header are passed to you in the POST data so you can perform the digest auth yourself in your cgi and return a user with no passwd param to indicate a successful auth. (exactly how to do that is out of the scope of this reply =]) sip_auth_username sip_auth_realm sip_auth_nonce sip_auth_uri sip_auth_qop sip_auth_cnonce sip_auth_nc sip_auth_response sip_auth_method Anthony Minessale II FreeSWITCH http://www.freeswitch.org/ ClueCon http://www.cluecon.com/ AIM: anthm MSN:anthony_minessale@hotmail.com GTALK/JABBER/PAYPAL:anthony.minessale@gmail.com IRC: irc.freenode.net #freeswitch FreeSWITCH Developer Conference sip:888@conference.freeswitch.org iax:guest@conference.freeswitch.org/888 googletalk:conf+888@conference.freeswitch.org pstn:213-799-1400 ----- Original Message ---- From: Jonas Gauffin <jonas.gauffin(a)gmail.com> To: freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org Sent: Tuesday, February 5, 2008 4:30:02 AM Subject: [Freeswitch-users] Problems with xml_curl and directory Hello I've used xml_curl for a while to supply a dialplan, and it works fine. Problems with xml_curl and directory

SIP routing
by David Knell 05 Feb '08

05 Feb '08

Hi - I've the following problem. I'm required to deliver calls to a particular URI - e.g. 1234(a)sip.wherever.com - but there are two gateways to which I can send the traffic. Sofia appears just to do a DNS lookup on sip.wherever.com and send the call there, which doesn't quite let me do what I want. Is there a mechanism for telling Sofia to send the call to a particular IP address, independent of the URI? The documentation suggests that adding a Route: header will help; a quick attempt by adding <action application="set" data="sip_h_Route=<sip:+$1@1.2.3.4>" /> doesn't give me what I'm after. record API including DTMF sound
by Bill Binko 04 Feb '08

04 Feb '08

Hi everyone, I am trying to record a message using the Event Socket interface in outbound mode. I am using the 'record' API call ( http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_commands#record ), but I'm getting the DTMF for the * key that is supposed to stop the recording included in the actual WAV file. Is there a way to record without getting that tone? I have tried record_session, but then I need to watch for DTMF to stop recording manually, which still ends up recoding the tones. I have tried in-audio, RFC2833 and SIP INFO settings for my DTMF tones (and every combination I think). in-audio settings make it "worse", but in general I'm capturing enough audio to make the recordings unusable. Can I get some direction? Thanks, Bill
