Hi FS Community, Is there a GUI dialplan designer available ? I've worked with multiple vendors that has tools to draw out the call process like flow chart, is there such a software available? Mahmood Alkhalil.

Freeswitch does not respond to TLS client_hello intermittently
by Adiseshu Channasamudhram 09 Dec '22

Hello FS Experts I had posted this Q earlier... posting it again with more details ... I have a FS to which two separate external SBCs connect and uses TLS Intermittently the FS does not respond to TLS client_hello - because of this, we see that sometimes one of the external SBC is not connected at all.. I was able to reproduce this with debug logging enabled and below is the snippet of the same ====================================================================================================================================== nta.c:1289 agent_timer() nta: timer not set tport.c:2753 tport_wakeup_pri() tport_wakeup_pri(0x7f96d01fa670): events IN tport.c:862 tport_alloc_secondary() tport_alloc_secondary(0x7f96d01fa670): new secondary tport 0x7f96d001a9d0 tport_type_tcp.c:203 tport_tcp_init_secondary() tport_tcp_init_secondary(0x7f96d001a9d0): Setting TCP_KEEPIDLE to 30 tport_type_tcp.c:209 tport_tcp_init_secondary() tport_tcp_init_secondary(0x7f96d001a9d0): Setting TCP_KEEPINTVL to 30 tport.c:2644 tport_accept() tport_accept(0x7f96d001a9d0): new connection from tcp/65.14.17.172:13980/sip tport.c:2777 tport_wakeup() tport_wakeup(0x7f96d001a9d0): events IN tport.c:2868 tport_recv_event() tport_recv_event(0x7f96d001a9d0) tport.c:3209 tport_recv_iovec() tport_recv_iovec(0x7f96d001a9d0) msg 0x7f96d0027b90 from (tcp/65.14.17.172:13980) has 183 bytes, veclen = 1 tport.c:2298 tport_set_secondary_timer() tport(0x7f96d001a9d0): reset timer tport.c:2777 tport_wakeup() tport_wakeup(0x7f96d0027f50): events IN tport.c:2868 tport_recv_event() tport_recv_event(0x7f96d0027f50) ======================================================================================================================================== In the above snippet, you can see that the clietn_hello is received ... Issue with Video Freezing with Personal Canvas and Vmute
by Justin Evans 08 Dec '22

08 Dec '22

Hello I have a FreeSwitch conference with 3 participants. The first two participants have video and audio unmuted while the third participant joins the conference with the vmute member flag set in a dialplan. We do not want the third participant’s video feed taking up space on the canvas for the other two members, so we use the video-mute-exit-canvas conference flag. Here are the conference flags we are currently using: <param name="conference-flags" value="video-muxing-personal-canvas|manage-inbound-video-bitrate|video-mute-exit-canvas"/> Frequently we notice that the video between the first and second participant will freeze for one of the two participants. RTP is still being transmitted/received from/to the members, but the video stays frozen. Audio still works after the video freezes. I do not see any errors in the fs_cli logs. We have been using Freeswitch version 1.10.8. Any ideas what could be happening? Is there something else I should look at for more information?

Building FreeSwitch with OpenSSL3 (Ubuntu 22)
by Yehavi Bourvine 02 Dec '22

02 Dec '22

Hello, I've done GIT CLONE today and tried to compile. It fails on OpenSSL3 changes. According to issue 1762 this has been fixed, but probably was not committed yet (sorry, I am not a GIT expert, so maybe I am using the wrong term). How can I get the updated code? Thanks, __Yehavi:

Static TLS certificate exchange setup
by Unai Rodriguez 01 Dec '22

01 Dec '22

Dear List, There’s 2 ways to establish TLS tunnels for SIP. The first being Static where the TLS certificate exchange is established and then the TLS link stays up for let’s say 30mins. The second is Dynamic where for every new call the certificate is exchanged. It seems that FreeSWITCH uses by default the Dynamic method, but, can the Static be used? What are the configuration options? Thank you so much With best wishes, Unai Rodriguez

Zoom Can't Render H.264 from Freeswitch 1.10
by ROBERT KIRNUM 30 Nov '22

30 Nov '22

Having trouble with transitioning from Freeswitch 1.6 to 1.10. When attempting to connect to a Zoom client the video from Freeswitch 1.10 fails to render in Zoom. Using Freeswitch 1.6 works as expected. The video from the Zoom client works fine on both cases. After much analysis of packet captures, the H.264 RTP sent to Zoom looks fine. It can be extracted from a packet capture and played using VLC. The RTP is being sent to the correct address / port, the payload type is correct as per SDP negotiation, same for packetization-mode. The stream sent to Zoom contains IDR frames preceded by SPS / PPS / SEI and is consistent with the stream from Freeswitch 1.6. Zoom sends frequent FIR and PLI requests as though it is not receiving any video / key frames. The capture shows no sequence number gaps, no jitter, no clock drift, etc. Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions on what could possibly cause this? Thanks, Bob

processing redirect
by Brian :: 28 Nov '22

28 Nov '22

Hello :) I have a particular scenario where a proxy replies with a 302 redirect to Freeswitch. In the 302 they add an X-header: with-some-info I have tried a few things but I can't seem to access this X-header from my redirected context. If I run the info app there it doesn't appear at all. And it doesn't get sent to the new host either. Is there any way to access this header? fs processes the redirect just fine but I could really do with accessing the info in this header in my redirected context. Thank you!

extension forced public context if IP is in ACL
by Josh 26 Nov '22

26 Nov '22

Greetings, I came across a recent thread http://lists.freeswitch.org/pipermail/freeswitch-users/2022-November/136043… discussing similar problems but it is not clear what solution is. I my case incoming Gateway and ATA adapter, logged in to an Extension, are on the same IP address. I added my IP to an ACL to allow incoming calls from Gateway to an Extension. No question about this part. However, exactly as in above mentioned thread, attempt to make outgoing call fails because Extension IP matches ACL and is forced into public context instead of domain context. If I delete ACL then outgoing calls work but incoming rejected. Is there a solution for above scenario? For example, is it possible to configure incoming Gateway without a need for ACL? Josh. PS. Since I am using FusionPBX all configuration appears to be in postgresql db tables. PPS. Explicitly setting up domain context to an Extension in FusionPBX UI makes no difference whatsoever.
