Actually I got it working. (partially) I'm able to register SIP soft phone and when dial some number I get voice response that number cannot be dialed. But I cannot get MOH working for now I dial 9999, but have no sound. It is possible to be my mistake on modules (I've tried to install wikiPBX, but had problems with dependencies). Will investigate more. Actually my question was about IAX support, can I use IAX clients instead of SIP and how to configure it. Simple link to documentation will suffice since I cannot find it. As requested. My configuration currently is Client <-> PAT router <-> INTERNET <-> NAT ROUTER + 1 Fixed IP <--> Interanal LAN <-> FreeSwitch on XEN VM For now it is only test setup, but later I may have connection to VoIP provider. My expierence with IAX over bad ISPs is very good and I prefer using it for certain extensions. And his protocol does not require special NAT traversal. In addition if you experierence high lag and jutter his buffer is really good. I continued my tests from outside of the LAN and I had to change it to be able to connect when I use NAT port forwarding. Can I use IAX to connect to FreeSwitch? I see it is listening on appropriate port, but I'm not sure how I can configure it - I've seen in the wiki it is not supported yet?! Is that correct? Getting started
by Hristo Benev 29 Dec '07

29 Dec '07

Hi, I've successfully build and installed FreeSWITCH (from SVN) on CentOS 5 Xen DomU, but having problems registering users to it. CLI says there is no such user. I've followed Wiki instructions and there is mentioned to edit freeswitch.xml to add ip of the server ,but my xml file has different layout and I'm little bit confused. Can somebody give me hints, please? Thank you, P.S. I'm advanced user of Linux and medium in VoIP (mostly *)

Blind register works ok...
by Ivan C Myrvold 28 Dec '07

28 Dec '07

but I can not get my Sipura ATA to register if I comment out the accept-blind-register in sofia.conf.xml Here is a blind register of my Sipura ATA: http://pastebin.ca/834668 and a regular register with accept-blind-register: http://pastebin.ca/834676 My directory.xml (the user id and password matches the Sipura ATA's user id and password) <user id="100"> <params> <param name="password" value="pluto"/> </params> <variables> <variable name="tlf" value="100"/> </variables> </user> <user id="140"> <params> <param name="password" value="pluto"/> </params> <variables> <variable name="tlf" value="140"/> </variables> </user> I find it unlikely this is a bug in Freeswitch, as this should be a very common configuration (I cannot be the only one registering my ATA's). But I can post a ticket to Jira if you want. The same happens with my PAP2 amd Cisco 7960 sip phone. Ivan

Call Acceptance
by Peder ＠ NetworkOblivion 26 Dec '07

Does anybody have a sample for a call acceptance script? I want to ring 3 phones at the same time and force the user to hit '1' to accept the call. If they don't hit 1, it just continues to ring the other phones.
