Added close method to spidermonkey_odbc
by Chris Danielson 04 Apr '08

I found that some of my long running JavaScript scripts were holding connections open for way too long. I debugged and valgrind'd this change in order to make sure that we do not have any memory leaks. I'd appreciate a second opinion. http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/MODLANG-55 Kind Regards, Chris Danielson Index: mod_spidermonkey_odbc.c =================================================================== --- mod_spidermonkey_odbc.c (revision 8009) +++ mod_spidermonkey_odbc.c (working copy) @@ -79,15 +79,15 @@ static void destroy_odbc_obj(odbc_obj_t ** objp) { odbc_obj_t *obj = *objp; - + if (obj == NULL) return; if (obj->stmt) { SQLFreeHandle(SQL_HANDLE_STMT, obj->stmt); } - if (obj->handle) { - switch_odbc_handle_destroy(&obj->handle); - } - switch_safe_free(obj->colbuf); - switch_safe_free(obj->code); + if (obj->handle) { + switch_odbc_handle_destroy(&obj->handle); + } + switch_safe_free(obj->colbuf); + switch_safe_free(obj->code); switch_safe_free(obj); } @@ -156,11 +156,12 @@ static void odbc_destroy(JSContext * cx, JSObject * obj) { - odbc_obj_t *odbc_obj = (odbc_obj_t *) JS_GetPrivate(cx, obj); - + if (obj == NULL) return; + odbc_obj_t *odbc_obj = (odbc_obj_t *) JS_GetPrivate(cx, obj); if (odbc_obj) { destroy_odbc_obj(&odbc_obj); - } + JS_SetPrivate(cx, obj, NULL); + } } static JSBool odbc_connect(JSContext * cx, JSObject * obj, uintN argc, jsval *argv, jsval *rval) @@ -405,6 +406,12 @@ } +static JSBool odbc_close(JSContext * cx, JSObject * obj, uintN argc, jsval *argv, jsval *rval) +{ + odbc_destroy(cx, obj); + return JS_TRUE; +} + enum odbc_tinyid { odbc_NAME }; @@ -417,6 +424,7 @@ {"numRows", odbc_num_rows, 1}, {"nextRow", odbc_next_row, 1}, {"getData", odbc_get_data, 1}, + {"close", odbc_close, 1}, {0} };

How to call a person on the same network.
by Ritesh Singh 03 Apr '08

03 Apr '08

Hi All, My aim is to call a person who's ip address is x.x.x.x. My ip address is y.y.y.y. What i tried was: Run the freeswitch on m/c having ips x.x.x.x and y.y.y.y. In both the freeswitch instance, i have loaded the mod_portaudio and mod_spidermonkey. Now i used commands from x.x.x.x freeswitch console: 1) pa call sip:SIP_URI@y.y.y.y. 2) pa call sip:y.y.y.y. And in both the cases i was unsuccessfull in calling y.y.y.y from x.x.x.x. Basically i was thinking that extension SIP_URI in default.xml will work with ip addresses only. In my scenario, x.x.x.x and y.y.y.y are on the same network. Please suggest. Thanks and Regards

HI All, I again downloaded the latest tarball and unzipped the same. Then i enabled the mod_xml_cdr, mod_ldap, mod_portaudio in modules.xml. Then i compiled the code, i started getting the lots of compiler errors. I am also facing problems compiling the mod_sofia on windows. My version of code is freeswitch-1.0.rc2. Latest windows code from SVN is giving compiler errors.
by Ritesh Singh 02 Apr '08

Hi, The latest code from svn is giving the compiler error on windows platform as its not able to link to api inet_pton. Also i found that we are not able to play the mp3 on windows platform as there is no project in the format named mod_shout, though its file exists at the location "src\mod\formats\mod_shout". Cluecon call for Speakers.
by Brian West 01 Apr '08

01 Apr '08

Dear FreeSWITCHers, Cluecon, a 3-Day Telephony User and Developer Conference, will have its 4th Annual Conference on August 4 to 7, 2008, targeting telecommunication CEOs, entrepreneurs, software programmers and VOIP enthusiasts. I'm calling on everyone that is interested in speaking email me ASAP. If you're interested in Sponsoring Cluecon please email me as well. The conference will be staged at Hilton Garden Hotel, downtown Chicago. The event will be promoted via press release and our partner websites. This opportunity will enable your company to talk about your innovations and the technologies you use in your implementations. This is also an opportune time to create contacts in the VOIP / PBX world and to gain potential customers. Each speaker will have to choose his own topic but would have to coordinate with me on the schedules and content. Their might be a speaker who's already chose the topic you have chosen. I look forward to seeing you on August 4, 2007 in Chicago. Thanks, Brian West FreeSWITCH.org

Scheduled Hangup Issue
by Nikolai Geordzhev 01 Apr '08

01 Apr '08

Hi I`m a newbie to FreeSwitch. The project seems great to me, so I decided to use it as a B2BUA for the project that I`m working on. In my setup I need to be able to disconnect the call from the switch( end the dialog / both legs), so I`ve tried to use: "<action application="sched_hangup" data="+20 alloted_timeout"/>" The problem with it is that It starts counting the 20secs not after the 200OK (answer event) but from the 180 Ringing event which doesn`t work for me. Is it a bug or an expected behaviour? Can someone help me with this issue, I really need to catch the answer event. Thanks in advance. King Regards, Nikolai Geordzhev
