Hello all, Is there any reason freeswitch can request to switch ICE candidates in the middle of a call? Thanks David -- Regards, David Villasmil email: david.villasmil.work(a)gmail.com phone: +34669448337

Re: [Freeswitch-users] How to detect close of verto tab?
by David P 22 Sep '21

We don't currently use a moderator in our conference, but is there a way to configure a conference so that if the moderator isn't sending media for some timeout that the conference hangs-up? If so, then we'd want to make leg A (the verto user) the moderator (without PIN, etc). I couldn't find an answer at https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/mod_conference > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > > Thanks, Ken. I'd like to know about any such timers to handle cases where >> users don't try to re-enter the conference and only the virtual agent's >> channel has media. > > >> >> >> From: Ken Rice <krice(a)freeswitch.org> >> To: FreeSWITCH Users Help <freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> >> Cc: >> Bcc: >> Date: Thu, 9 Sep 2021 22:27:38 -0500 >> Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] How to detect close of verto tab? >> Thats actually a design feature, the whole intent os of someone >> accidentally navigates away they can come right back and resume their call. >> >> there may be some timers you can adjust. >> >>

Dialplan not matching
by David Villasmil 22 Sep '21

22 Sep '21

Hello all, I have the following condition: <action application="log" data="ERR UUID: ${uuid} = ${conference_name}"/> <condition field="${cond(${uuid} == ${conference_name} ? YES : NO)}" expression="^YES$"> The log properly prints both variables: mod_dptools.c:1879 UUID: 7d736b08-212b-4ac2-abb3-a5e738306fb5 = 7d736b08-212b-4ac2-abb3-a5e738306fb5 they're exactly the same, and still condition function fails: Regex (FAIL) [conf_destination_recur_1] ${cond(${uuid} == ${conference_name} ? YES : NO)}(-ERR) =~ /^YES$/ break=on-false I also tried a simple condition like <condition field="${uuid}" expression="${conference_name}"> and still no match... Ideas? Thanks guys David Villasmil email: david.villasmil.work(a)gmail.com phone: +34669448337

Freeswitch transcoding even after Late Negotiation with inherit_codec
by Shahnawaj Khan 21 Sep '21

21 Sep '21

Hi All, I am working on a use case where we don't want freeswitch to transcode and the codec negotiated with the B leg's answer should be passed to the A leg so it also uses the same codec. I have followed the following link https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Codec+Negotiation and added following flags in sip profiles <param name="inbound-late-negotiation" value="true"/> <param name="inherit_codec" value="true"/> But freeswitch is itself doing the transcoding. Scenario looks like the following. 1) Bob---(Invite with OPUS,PCMU codec)---->Freeswitch 2) Freeswitch---(Invite with OPUS,PCMU codec)-->Alice 3) Alice ---(200 OK with PCMU)---> Freeswitch 4) Freeswitch---(200 OK with OPUS)--->Bob //OPUS instead of PCMU Please let me know if I have some understanding gaps and point me in the right direction. Thanks & Regards, Shahnawaz

BLF for database flag
by Jerry Kendall 21 Sep '21

21 Sep '21

Hello..... Does anyone know if there is a way to have a BLF (presence monitor) for an object that is NOT a device. I would like to have the BLF lamp toggle red/green based on a status of a variable that is a field in the database... For example: A user dials *85x If the use dials *850, this can mean turn the light OFF If the use dials *85n, this can mean turn the light ON Then the device (x301) has a BLF set for *851. The sip_subscriptions table will have the following: *************************** 1. row *************************** proto: sip sip_user: 301 sip_host: domain sub_to_user: *851 sub_to_host: domain presence_hosts: event: dialog contact: "user"<sip:301@ip:port;fs_nat=yes;fs_path=sip%3Aa.b.c.d%3Annn%3Btransport%3Dudp> call_id:508931318-14314-3@BA.CEG.HG.ED full_from:<sip:301@domain>;tag=673185170 full_via: SIP/2.0/UDP ip:port;branch=z9hG4bK1903845623;rport=...;received=..... expires: 1631421776 user_agent: xyz accept: application/dialog-info+xml, multipart/related, application/rlmi+xml profile_name: customer hostname: host network_port: ... network_ip: a.b.c.d version: 121 orig_proto: full_to:<sip:*852@domain>;tag=HQrMabwmsTlX *************************** 1. row *************************** Thanks, any help would be great...

Media Question
by Alexander Perkins 20 Sep '21

20 Sep '21

Hi All. We have a unique requirement (I think)... We need to stream the media to another server for analysis while the call is taking place. So, basically, real-time analysis. Can somebody point me in the right direction? Thank you, Alex

How to avoid verto logout during call due to BAD READ?
by David P 16 Sep '21

16 Sep '21

We occasionally see that a verto user loses access to a conference for ~15 seconds. Here's an example from our FS v10.5 / Debian-Buster logging. Note the BAD READ which seems to be the cause: --------------------------------------------------------- 82133cbd-8d22-4be4-a52a-e77f6e9a52ca 2021-09-11 21:13:55.592864 [DEBUG] switch_rtp.c:7793 Correct audio ip/port confirmed. 2021-09-11 21:14:30.792863 [WARNING] mod_verto.c:1904 77.23.137.51:37076 BAD READ -1 9c2dccee-3d82-2451-c81d-ca6bd51c6788 2021-09-11 21:14:30.792863 [DEBUG] switch_rtp.c:1923 rtcp_stats_init: audio ssrc[3520184631] base_seq[9119] 9c2dccee-3d82-2451-c81d-ca6bd51c6788 2021-09-11 21:14:30.792863 [DEBUG] switch_rtp.c:1923 rtcp_stats_init: video ssrc[2887449749] base_seq[13858] 2021-09-11 21:14:30.792863 [DEBUG] mod_verto.c:2045 77.23.137.51:37076 Ending client thread. --------------------------------------------------------- My understanding of BAD READ is that it usually indicates an incorrectly-created or expired cert, but this BAD READ is happening after the DTLS handshake was completed. Do you have any recommendation for how we can avoid such BAD READ's?

Escape variable content when used as a field in a condition
by David Villasmil 15 Sep '21

15 Sep '21

Hello all, I'm trying to compare 2 variables in a condition, something like <condition field="${sip_from_user}" expression="^${some_other_phone_number}$" inline="true"> But it looks like FS expands the variable, and does the comparison. The problem with this is, those 2 phone numbers are in e.164, i.e.: sip_from_user = +18885551212 some_other_phone_number = +18005551212 and so the condition ends up being: <condition field="+18885551212" expression="^+18005551212$" inline="true"> which of course won't work.... Is there any way of escaping the variables automatically when comparing? I haven't found a way. Thanks! David Villasmil email: david.villasmil.work(a)gmail.com phone: +34669448337

Re: [Freeswitch-users] Reload TLS certificate
by Sergey Safarov 14 Sep '21

You can place the Kamailio server as frontend. Kamailio supports TLS certificate reload without dropping current connections.
