SIP doorbell with video to work with FS
by Victor Chukalovskiy 26 Mar '20

26 Mar '20

Good day, anyone has recommendation for SIP doorbell type device that will work with FS and support video call? Looking at Fanvil i30 or Grandstream GDS3710 and it appears that SIP client might be voice-only (unless I'm mistaken) Basically, looking for something like a Ring but can be used with my own FreeSWITCH for voice & video instead of Ring cloud. Axis A8105-E sounds perfect but costs a fortune. Thank you! -Victor

I have not read the script, etc, only first lines of your mail I'd like to point you that you can use "luarun" that will execute script in nits own thread, no blocking, no waitin for result. Is probably what you want... -giovanni On Thu, Mar 19, 2020 at 11:30 PM Wilmar Perez via FreeSWITCH-users < freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> wrote: > > > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: Wilmar Perez <ewdpb(a)yahoo.com> > To: "freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org" < > freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> > Cc: > Bcc: > Date: Wed, 18 Mar 2020 12:31:57 +0000 (UTC) > Subject: Using bgapi > > Hi all, > > I am trying to wrap my head around the use of bgapi. dynamic music on hold for mod_conference
by Lappe, Adam 19 Mar '20

19 Mar '20

Hi all, i am trying to dynamically set the mod-sound variable in mod_conference, so I can play different music on hold to my conference rooms without having to create multiple profiles. Is there a way to set my moh-sound path while I create the conference? Or can I change the moh-sound file via the event socket in a existing conference? I think this would also lead to success. Thanks in advance, Adam

Using bgapi
by Wilmar Perez 18 Mar '20

18 Mar '20

Hi all, I am trying to wrap my head around the use of bgapi. What I am tryin gto is to call a lua script that executes a curl command. While curl does its thing I want to do something else (e.g. playing back some music on hold to the caller). I am trying to do this in pure LUA (no ESL - the only reason is that I did not know ESL existed at all when I started this project and now it is too late to go back). So, I've been texting with the following scrip which simply executes an external script which is using mod curl. I woud expect some session variables to be set but it does not seem to be the case. I use a for loop just to check every few seconds the existence of the session variable. My main script:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- session:answer();api = freeswitch.API(); if(session:ready())then reply = api:executeString('bgapi \'my_curl.lua\''); end for i=1, 30 do if(session:getVariable('curl_response_code') == nil)then freeswitch.consoleLog('Notice', 'Nothing to see yet') session:execute('sleep', 500) else console_log('The data is' .. session:getVariable('curl_response_data')) end i = i + 1; end session:hangup();---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My_curl.lua:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- local url = 'http://myapi.com' session:execute('curl', url); | | | | ADSCHEAPER.COM - Best online advertising, Monetize domains & intellectua... AdsCheaper.com - cost effective advertising Monetize domains! | | | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the logs I can see something happening: +OK Job-UUID: fbb932aa-d58b-4e9f-b658-c542eff0640d But nothing else happens. My main script simply goes through the for look until the end and session variable curl_response_code never gets set. Clearly I am probably misunderstanding how this whole thing works. Any hint or guid would be very helpful. Thanks!

Re: [Freeswitch-users] Freeswitch one way audio problem - microphone on one side not working

Some items to check: 1. Does WinShark show the audio is arriving at the destination? 2. If using a browser client, you might be attaching the stream to the video element too late. Attaching should be done via a handler of the ontrack event (which verto does). 3. If using a browser client, and you're missing inbound audio, something might be pausing or muting the video element used by the call. For example, iOS pauses the call video element if any other video element having an audio track plays.

Send extra custom info (image data) on call to show in target endpoint
by Jose David Jurado Alonso 16 Mar '20

16 Mar '20

Hi, I'm looking for a way to be able to pass extra information (one image data for example) in a call. The purpose is to be able to display a preview image of the caller on the target device (mobile) so that they can see it before taking or rejecting the call. Currently, I have the image saved and send it using a push notification when the call occurs but I would like to skip that step and send it over SIP. In this way, you could send the image on the fly without having to store it on the server. For this, I need to know if there is the possibility of sending the image as data using the SIP protocol, in the SIP INVITE header or using an additional method so that the target endpoint (mobile) can see the image before to take the call. Any ideas on how to do it? José David Jurado Alonso

how to install virtual communicator on my server
by John Covici 15 Mar '20

15 Mar '20

Hi. I have been trying for a while to install the virtual communicator out of freeswitch/html5/verto on my freeswitch server. However, I get lots of warnings I don't understand and finally when I get a directory named dist and copy it to the website, I get a blank page. I am using fs 10.1.2 which compiles and runs fine on my gentoo system and I tried to execute the commands in the debian8-install.sh, but things are not working at all for me. I have logged all the install files and can send them to anyone who might be able to help me with this. Some of the warnings I get are like this: mnpm mWARN optional SKIPPING OPTIONAL DEPENDENCY: yallist(a)3.1.1 (node_modules/fsevents/node_modules/yallist): and others. I don't know if I have the correct version of nodejs or even if I could get it, since its not available on Debian 10. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. -- Your life is like a penny. Hello FS community, I have problem with microphone on one side, which is not working when calling. Here is what I use: - FreeSWITCH (Version 1.10.2-release git f7bdd38 2019-12-31 14:01:19Z 64bit) - pa devlist 0;sun50i-a64-audio: - (hw:0,0)(ALSA);2;2;r,i,o 1;allwinner,hdmi: - (hw:1,0)(ALSA);0;2; 2;sysdefault(ALSA);128;128; 3;lavrate(ALSA);128;128; 4;samplerate(ALSA);128;128; 5;speexrate(ALSA);128;128; 6;upmix(ALSA);8;8; 7;vdownmix(ALSA);6;6; 8;default(ALSA);128;128; 9;dmix(ALSA);0;2; - pa looptest is working fine with microphone functional - SIP call is on one subnet without nat and firewall between FS as client and grandstream GXP1610 (nothing special) - sip trace is not showing any error or something, RTP is ok I really dont know what else should by wrong, does anybody have a clue with this situation? by Tezcan ÇIRAKOĞLU 11 Mar '20

Hello everyone, I am tracking freeswitch events via event-socket interface. But i could not get which leg hangs up first during a call by reading header information included in events. Is there a simple way to get which leg hanged up first during a call? Thanks
