Multiple contexts per sip profile
by Grant Bagdasarian 08 Oct '13

08 Oct '13

Hello, I'm trying to configure FreeSWITCH to have multiple contexts per sip profile like below. But this does not seem to work. The reason I want this, is to have each incoming called number to have its own context in which extensions can be created. The problem with using extensions and only one context is I can't defined more than one extension with the same name. FS seems to overwrite or ignore ones that do. Is this even possible? If so, what do I need to change? Is there perhaps a better way for doing this? sip_profile/inbound.xml: <profile name="inbound"> <settings> <param name="context" value="inbound"/> <param name="dialplan" value="XML"/> </settings> </profile> dialplan/inbound.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <include> <context name="inbound"> <X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="include" data="inbound/*.xml"/> <extension name="route_to_context"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(\d+)$"> <action application="transfer" data="start XML $1"/> </condition> </extension> </context> </include> dialplan/inbound/1000.xml: <include> <context name="1000"> <extension name="start"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(\d+)"> <action application="answer"/> <action application="transfer" data="playback"/> </condition> </extension> <extension name="playback"> <condition> <action application="playback" data="/usr/src/freeswitch/sounds/fs-hello-world-for-1000.wav"/> </condition> </extension> </context> </include> dialplan/inbound/1001.xml: <include> <context name="1001"> <extension name="start"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(\d+)"> <action application="answer"/> <action application="transfer" data="playback"/> </condition> </extension> <extension name="playback"> <condition> <action application="playback" data="/usr/src/freeswitch/sounds/fs-hello-world-for-1001.wav"/> </condition> </extension> </context> </include>

Optimizing profile
by Guillermo Ruiz Camauer 08 Oct '13

08 Oct '13

In the Wiki, under "Performance testing and configurations", one of the suggestions given under "Recommended SIP Settings" is: libsofia only handles 1 thread per profile, so if that is your bottle neck use more profiles If I only have one Voip provider, can I still have more than one SIP profile? My provider authenticates via IP. I currently run 240 concurrent calls through this Sip trunk, I I see CPU close to 12.5% on a 8 core machine. This means that one core is maxing out. How can I get more threads up to distribute the load? -- Guillermo Ruiz Camauer

Anyone know how to get a polycom to reload directory?
by Nathan Neulinger 08 Oct '13

I've got the config reload working fine by flushing registration, but it appears that doesn't result in it reading <mac>-directory.xml, it only reloads the base config files. Any suggestions beyond just teling the phone to do a full reboot? -- Nathan ------------------------------------------------------------ Nathan Neulinger nneul(a)mst.edu Missouri S&T Information Technology (573) 612-1412 System Administrator - Architect

execute_on_fax_success/failure

I am using excute_on_fax_success to call a script when a fax is received, the script converts the fax to pdf and emails it, Is there a way to pass the number of pages received, ie, a variable created by spandsp. Everything works, but I do not seem to be able to pass the variables. <condition field="destination_number" expression="^1(\d{10})$|(\d{10})$"> <action application="set" data="faxtempdirectory=/faxfiles/${caller_id_number}"/> <action application="system" data="mkdir ${faxtempdirectory}"/> <action application="set" data="faxDirection=outbound"/> <action application="set" data="emailAddress=$1$2@${fax2net_server}"/> <action application="set" data="faxFile=$1$2-${caller_id_number}-${strftime(%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M-%S)-Success}"/> <action application="set" data="execute_on_fax_success=system /./var/mail/sentfaxes/fax2mail.sh ${faxFile} $1$2@${fax2net_server} ${fax_security_code} ${fromRc} fax2net_orig=${fax_email}= ${fax_transfer_rate}"/> <action application="answer"/> <action application="playback" data="silence_stream://2000"/> <action application="set" data="fax_enable_t38_request=true"/> <action application="set" data="fax_enable_t38=true"/> <action application="rxfax" data="${faxFile}.tif"/> <action application="hangup"/> </condition> Thanks Darcy Primrose
