question about lua integration to freeswitch
by covici＠ccs.covici.com 27 Sep '10

27 Sep '10

Hi. I was reading the book and I find things like freeswitch.log -- so is there a complete list of freeswitch.xxx? Also I find session:ready and other things -- is there a list of all of those? Thanks. -- Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is: How do you spend it? John Covici covici(a)ccs.covici.com

menu-exec-api - Invalid Action [menu-exec-api]
by Phillip Jones 27 Sep '10

Hi there, I am trying to use menu-exec-api for the first time. But I am getting the error: [WARNING] switch_ivr_menu.c:718 Invalid Action [menu-exec-api] [ERR] switch_ivr_menu.c:865 Unable to build xml menu If I check the code I don't see a menu-exec-api action: static struct iam_s { const char *name; switch_ivr_action_t action; } iam[] = { { "menu-exit", SWITCH_IVR_ACTION_DIE}, { "menu-sub", SWITCH_IVR_ACTION_EXECMENU}, { "menu-exec-app", SWITCH_IVR_ACTION_EXECAPP}, { "menu-play-sound", SWITCH_IVR_ACTION_PLAYSOUND}, { "menu-back", SWITCH_IVR_ACTION_BACK}, { "menu-top", SWITCH_IVR_ACTION_TOMAIN}, { NULL, 0} }; I am on GIT HEAD from Saturday. I am really confused. What am I missing? Can someone confirm that menu-exec-api is still valid? Thanks Pj

Re: [Freeswitch-users] Strange errors from sqlite DB
by Ashley B 27 Sep '10

Hi, I was experiencing the same issue all of a sudden on FreeSWITCH (Windows - 17048M). FS was running without a hitch for 2 months, until I started seeing the below on our console log whenever receiving an inbound call (the call never made it through to the client obviously). After restarting FS, the problem went away but I saw it happen once about 5 months ago as well. We make no external calls whatsoever to the SQLite db's. Has anyone identified why this could happen and how to prevent future occurrences of it? Thanks Ashley ...see log: 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:722 SQL ERR: [select call_id,sip_user,sip_host,contact,status,rpid,expires,user_agent,server_user ,server_host,profile_name,network_ip,0 from sip_registrations where expires > 0 and expires <= 1285417376] library routine called out of sequence 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] delete from sip_registrations where expires > 0 and expires <= 1285417376 and hostname='bet' 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:722 SQL ERR: [select call_id from sip_shared_appearance_dialogs where hostname='bet' and profile_name='internal' and expires <= 1285417376] library routine called out of sequence 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] delete from sip_registrations where expires > 0 and hostname='bet' and expires <= 1285417376 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] delete from sip_presence where expires > 0 and expires <= 1285417376 and hostname='bet' 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] delete from sip_authentication where expires > 0 and expires <= 1285417376 and hostname='bet' 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:722 SQL ERR: [select call_id from sip_subscriptions where (expires = -1 or (expires > 0 and expires <= 1285417376)) and hostname='bet'] library routine called out of sequence 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] delete from sip_subscriptions where (expires = -1 or (expires > 0 and expires <= 1285417376)) and hostname='bet' 2010-09-25 13:22:56.136423 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] delete from sip_dialogs where (expires = -1 or (expires > 0 and expires <= 1285417376)) and hostname='bet' 2010-09-25 13:23:20.970384 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:20.970384 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.069997 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:21.069997 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.171564 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:21.171564 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.271177 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:21.271177 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.372743 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:21.372743 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.472357 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:21.472357 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.573923 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:21.573923 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.673536 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:21.673536 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.775103 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] BEGIN 2010-09-25 13:23:21.775103 [DEBUG] switch_core_sqldb.c:643 SQL Retry [library routine called out of sequence] 2010-09-25 13:23:21.874716 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:404 SQL ERR [library routine called out of sequence] -----Original Message----- From: Peter Olsson [mailto: peter.olsson at visionutveckling.se] Sent: 3 May 2010 12:58 PM To: FreeSWITCH Users Help Subject: RE: [Freeswitch-users] Strange errors from sqlite DB Brian, This is the log when it first occured. Enterprise bridge variables vs. regular bridge.
by Tim St. Pierre 27 Sep '10

27 Sep '10

Hello list, I'm trying to implement a setup where a user can have their incoming calls also ring an assistant's phone, but with a different ring cadence. It mostly works, but I'm having some issues with the bridge command. I'm using a lua script to dynamically generate the dialplan based on database info. Here's what I have tried: application="bridge" data="$[local_var_clobber=true}user/main_user@ourdomain.net,[alert_info=${domain};info=alert-group]user/assistant_user@ourdomain.net" This seems to work well, except that only one of the user's registrations gets rung, and I get an error on the console saying that "only the first element will be used". I also tried the so-called enterprise bridge mode. data="${call_timeout=24,progress_timeout=4}user/main_user@ourdomain.net:_:call_timeout=24,progress_timeout=4,info=alert-group},user/assistant_user@ourdomain.net" This example rings all the phones in the registration, but the variables I set earlier on (like call_timeout) don't get passed to the channel. I have to set them for each leg. What's more, if nobody answers, there is no cause code returned for the next dialplan step, which implements forwarding rules based on the results of the bridge. Any suggestions? Ultimately, I much prefer the first (comma separated) setup, if only it would ring all the contacts in the registration. Any help is appreciated. -Tim

How do I change the from: to: domain from the IP address of freeswitch?
by Neill Wilkinson 27 Sep '10

27 Sep '10

All just playing with Multi-tenant config, and got all the dialplan and domain specific directory settings kinda all working. All the phone register as extension(a)domain.com and I've added SRV records for _sip._udp.domain.com to my local DNS, and x-lite and SJ-phone correctly resolve this this to my server IP from DNS. I can make calls using extension(a)domain.com toward FS and the call correctly routes in the dialplan - when Sofia originates the new outbound leg using: <include> <context name="domain.comk"> <extension name="unloop"> <condition field="${unroll_loops}" expression="^true$"/> <condition field="${sip_looped_call}" expression="^true$"> <action application="deflect" data="${destination_number}"/> </condition> </extension> <extension name="domain_2000"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(2000)$"> <action application="set" data="domain_name=domain.com"/> <action application="set" data="domain=domain.com"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/domain/2000" /> </condition> </extension> <extension name="vodafone_1000"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(1000)$"> <action application="set" data="domain_name=ims.vodafone.co.uk"/> <action application="set" data="domain=ims.vodafone.co.uk"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/ims.vodafone.co.uk/1000" /> </condition> </extension> FS still puts its IP as the domain portion of the From and To fields in the INVITE: From: "+441635698866" <sip:+441635698866@192.168.0.56<sip%3A%2B441635698866(a)192.168.0.56> >;tag=cg7H7SvjvrSmp Neill....;o) Aeonvista Ltd <http://aeonvista.blogspot.com> *Opening Up New Ideas*

Default action on IVR menus
by Phillip Jones 27 Sep '10

27 Sep '10

Hi all, Is is possible to define a default action in an IVR menu? i.e. an action that is taken when the user does NOT press any key. For example: <menu name="ppn_ivr_VoiceMail_Play" greet-long="phrase:PlayVM" timeout="3000" inter-digit-timeout="3000" timeout="3000" max-failures="0" max-timeouts="1" digit-len="1"> <entry action="menu-exec-app" digits="4" param="managed PPNSystem.Telephony.ChangeStatusVoicemailHandler 4"/> <entry action="menu-exec-app" digits="7" param="managed PPNSystem.Telephony.ChangeStatusVoicemailHandler 7"/> <entry action="menu-exec-app" digits="8" param="managed PPNSystem.Telephony.ChangeStatusVoicemailHandler 8"/> <entry action="menu-exec-app" digits="5" param="managed PPNSystem.Telephony.ReturnCallVoicemailHandler 5"/> <entry action="menu-exec-app" digits="" param="managed PPNSystem.Telephony.PlayVoicemailHandler"/> </menu> In the above I would like the last action to kick in if the user does not press any keys after 3 secs. Any help appreciated! Thanks Pj
