FreeSWITCH -- Router -- WAN -- Router -- OpenSBC -- Several Remote Spa5xx
by Loy Glenn 15 Aug '10

15 Aug '10

As the Subject outlines, this is the basic setup. Does anyone have any experience w/ FreeSWITCH and any session border controllers? The problem we are having seems to be related to NAT. We have several Cisco Spa5xxG phones which remotely register to a FS that is publicly accessible. The phones are behind NAT router, and begin to fail after more than 4 register. I am thinking about using the SBC for a registration/media proxy, and am wondering how I would get FS and the SBC to work together. Any ideas? -- You Rock! Your E-Mail Should Too! Multiple Dialog Subscription NOTIFY Messages
by Jerry Richards 15 Aug '10

15 Aug '10

Hello, If I configure 5 phones to subscribe to "dialog" events of a particular extension, and then make a call to that extension, each subscribing phone receives multiple NOTIFY messages with dialog state "early". I looked into the content of the NOTIFY messages received by one of the subscribers. It received 5 pairs of NOTIFY messages where each pair contained a different <dialog id>. What is the reason FS would do this? Thanks, Jerry

Hello! I'm trying to setup FS on FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE i386 from http://files.freeswitch.org/freeswitch-1.0.6.tar.gz but there is an error in freeswitch.log 2010-07-09 05:36:45.246801 [CRIT] switch_loadable_module.c:882 Error Loading module /usr/local/freeswitch/mod/mod_spidermonkey.so **/usr/local/freeswitch/lib/libjs.so.1: Undefined symbol "PR_LocalTimeParameters"** Also I see the same situation http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/FSBUILD-41;jsessionid=822BB66E72FFF9D2C18… but http://files.freeswitch.org/freeswitch-1.0.6.tar.gz was created later, than that case. CallCentric keeps changing expire time by +1 second
by mazilo 15 Aug '10

15 Aug '10

I have configured my FreeSWITCH PBX system with a CallCentric IP Freedom account using this http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Provider_Configuration:_Callcentric SIP profile . It works just fine to place/receive calls to/from other CallCentric numbers. However, what puzzles me is the log messages file incidates CallCentric keeps changing the expire time by +1 second as shown below. Honestly, I have never seen this behavior on my Asterisk PBX system. Is this a new feature from FreeSWITCH? 2010-07-18 10:53:53.041636 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 85 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 10:54:38.038438 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 86 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 10:55:02.047634 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 87 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 10:55:34.086108 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 88 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 10:56:10.109303 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 89 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 10:57:11.177400 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 88 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 10:58:44.288820 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 89 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 10:59:08.304314 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 90 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:00:11.364277 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 89 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:01:02.393315 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 90 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:01:58.450933 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 91 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:02:53.485171 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 92 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:03:49.535045 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 93 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:04:46.554169 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 94 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:05:43.573916 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 95 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:06:27.592881 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 96 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:07:30.605328 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 95 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:08:33.778044 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 94 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:09:27.689212 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 95 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:11:19.725302 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 96 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:12:05.735199 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 97 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com 2010-07-18 11:12:43.753745 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1484 Changing expire time to 98 by request of proxy sip:callcentric.com ----- don't and stop are the ONLY two 4-letter words considered offensive to men, but not when used together. -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/CallCentric-keeps-changing-ex… Sent from the freeswitch-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Howto install ESL lua, perl, python, ruby mods?
by Patrick Lists 14 Aug '10

14 Aug '10

Hi all, None of the Makefiles in src/libs/esl and src/libs/esl/{lua,perl,python,ruby} seem to have instructions how to install those modules. Looking at the respective Makefiles I'm pretty clueless which files to put where. The wiki does not seem to have the answer. Anyone have an idea? Thanks, Patrick

Re: [Freeswitch-users] Erlang Receive from FreeSWITCH mod_erlang_event
by David Swardstrom 14 Aug '10

14 Aug '10

Thanks for the response. That is what I expected, but sometimes I am surprised, so thought I would ask. But, where do I put freeswitch.erl? I have looked at a bunch of Erlang material, and cannot find any discussion of a reasonable directory structure even in "getting started" material. Note: This is my very first Erlang project. But why doesn't this get any attention. Since this is a type of library, I would be inclined to put it with other Erlang libraries. I downloaded the OTP package so have the following directory (under Linux). /usr/local/lib/erlang/lib Should I create a new subdirectory for this and add another entry to the path? OpenACD put it with the OpenACD source and put it in the GIT environment, so I could put it with my source. But this does not seem right. If you come up with some reasonable answer that should be provided to others, may I suggest that you change the Wiki. Thanks, David Swardstrom (profile)http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/User:Dswardstrom
