bypass_media_after_bridge
by David Aldworth 13 Jul '10

13 Jul '10

In order for bypass_media_after_bridge to work correctly what should the sip_profile settings be for media? Currently I have: <param name="inbound-bypass-media" value="false"/> <param name="inbound-proxy-media" value="false"/> Also, leading up to the bridge in the dialplan I have: <action application="set" data="bypass_media_after_bridge=true"/> <action application="set" data="ignore_early_media=true"/> <action application="set" data="ringback=$${us-ring}"/> FS does send a re-invite after the 200 Ok, but the SDP endpoints in the re-invite still reflect the local IP for media instead of bypassing. What to do? Much appreciated. David

Erlang Receive from FreeSWITCH mod_erlang_event
by David Swardstrom 13 Jul '10

13 Jul '10

I see by the Wiki, that if the Erlang application wants to receive any events from FreeSWITCH, it must provide a single receiver for all events. It would then have to distribute the events. However, the situation does not seem to be obvious for receiving responses to API requests. If Erlang Process A makes API call C1 and Process B also makes API call C2. Will the response to C1 be sent to the receive entry for Process A and the response to C2 be sent to the receive entry for process B? Regards, Paul David Swardstrom

No Caller-ID Name Delivery on PRI
by Phone 12 Jul '10

12 Jul '10

I recently posted a question on this topic in a "Native Stack" discussion and it was suggested that we need to "SLEEP a few seconds before you answer just like you do in Asterisk" We have tried to do this as follows, but are still not getting name delivery. Here is the snippet from the dialplan: extension name="XXX7878001"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(7878001)$"> <action application="sleep" data="5000"/> <action application="set" data="domain_name=$${domain}"/> <action application="transfer" data="$1 XML default"/> </condition> </extension> We are using libpri 1.4.11.3 with FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.head (git-f0fed26 2010-07-03 13-37-32 -0300 on a Samgoma B601DE connected to a PRI. When running a trace, the Caller-ID Name does come along later in a separate facility message, but is does not seem to be flowing thru to FS. The recommended solution sounds obvious and reasonable, but apparently we are still missing something. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Park Issue
by Peder 12 Jul '10

12 Jul '10

Anybody know why valet_park would play the slot # on the wrong end of the call? A calls B. B parks A and the slot # gets played to A, not B. Here is the line I am using to park (ABC is the company name, which we are using as the lot name so we can have one lot per company): <action application="valet_park" data="ABC auto in 5 7"/> I can park and then pickup fine, it is just playing the slot # on the wrong end of the call. mod_lcr lcr_user_rate / and other lcr generated variables / suggestion
by Tchavdar Paskov 12 Jul '10

12 Jul '10

Hi Rupa,I found while working on the last version of the mod_lcr that by default only lcr_carrier and lcr_rate are imported as channel variables and in case of custom sql being used the lcr_user_rate is being populated only in the b-leg.So currently if i want to have the complete info on call server by mod_lcr i have to read both a & b-legs.I went trhough the source and found lines:131413171318143614391440158515881589where string "lcr_carrier,lcr_rate" could be changed to "lcr_carrier,lcr_rate,lcr_user_rate" and this will eliminate the need of collecting the b-leg info. This also obviously applies to all other lcr generated variables that might be of any interest for billing purposes.Pls let me know if this makes sense to you.RegardsChav Paskov

Behaviour of group_confirm_cancel_timeout
by Nagalenoj H. 12 Jul '10

12 Jul '10

Dear friends, I've tried using the group_confirm_cancel_timeout channel variable. I've written a testing script to get digits before bridging. But, it doesn't seem to be working. My understanding after reading wiki is, * When I dial [leg_timeout=10]user/1005, if he answers before timeout and in the process of giving digits, then the call shouldn't be disconnected after the leg_timeout secs (10 sec in the example). But, When I experiment it, the call is getting disconnected after 10 seconds and it doesn't bother whether the callee has answered the call(Started giving digits) or not answered at all. I've checked it with nc as follows, sendmsg call-command: execute execute-app-name: set execute-app-arg: group_confirm_key=exec sendmsg call-command: execute execute-app-name: set execute-app-arg: group_confirm_file=perl /root/confirm.pl sendmsg call-command: execute execute-app-name: set execute-app-arg: group_confirm_cancel_timeout=1 sendmsg call-command: execute execute-app-name: bridge execute-app-arg: [leg_timeout=10]user/1005 And here is the script, use freeswitch; our $session; my $digit; while(1) { # Wait till response timeout for the first digit. $digit = $session->getDigits(1, "", 10000); freeswitch::consoleLog ("info","Digit>>".$digit."<<"); if (! $session->ready() ) { freeswitch::consoleLog("info","Going to Exit\n"); last; } if (defined $digit and $digit ne "" ) { freeswitch::consoleLog("info","DTMF received: $digit\n"); if ($digit eq '#') { return; } } else { freeswitch::consoleLog("info","Timeout\n"); $session->hangup(); } } 1; If my understanding is right then, I believe there is something wrong with channel_variable. Kindly help me to resolve this. -- Regards, Nagalenoj H.
