OCS Support?
by Jerry Richards 28 Sep '09

Hi, Does Freeswitch support OCS? We are interested in having our desktop PC control our in-house desktop phones (e.g. initiate call, answer call, hold call, etc.) using the uaCSTA protocol. Best Regards, Jerry

how to restrain one way voice
by Jingwei Yang 28 Sep '09

Hi Guys, Is it possible to restrain the call-out to be one-way, meaning the callee can only listen, but not speak? If so, is it possible to switch off the constraint dynamically during the call and allow the callee to speak? Thanks, -Jingwei

sound gets stuck in FreeSWITCH pizza application
by Francisco Scaramanga 27 Sep '09

I am running the FreeSWITCH sample application gino's pizza on Windows Vista SP1. The application is running and I can order pizza :-) but there are 2 points: 1. The problem is that the voice playback, for instance "Welcome to gino's pizza" gets stuck very often. Sometimes it sounds good, sometimes bad. Furthermore sometimes I can hear only the first part of the playback and the rest is missing. When I make a call with 2 softphones using FreeSWITCH the quality is very good. 2. Between the single pizza-order-steps the next grammar is loaded , for instance pizza_size.gram. The CPU load always goes up to more than 50% and it takes about 5 seconds until the next playback is played. My Computer is an Intel Core2Duo 2,0 GHz which should fast enough. Any idea? _________________________________________________________________ http://redirect.gimas.net/?n=M0906xIE8_MSN3 Hol Dir den neuen Internet Explorer 8 mit MSN-Toolbar

Hi guys! I'm considering to use SIMPLE protocol for IM in my application, but get a following error trying to send a message from one registered user to another: [ERR] sofia_presence.c:93 Chat proto [sip] from [1001(a)xx.xxx.xx.xx] to [1000(a)xx.xxx.xx.xx] 1111111111 Invalid Profile xx.xxx.xx.xx Should presence be enabled in order SIMPLE to work? What additional steps do I have to complete in order to make presence work in FS besides setting "manage_presence" param in SIP profile to true? Best regards, Robert.

Mod_vmd and Session Locking.
by Vinuth Madinur 27 Sep '09

27 Sep '09

Hello All, I'm trying to do a simple dialer, where I am: 1. Initiating mod_vmd on channel answer. 2. Staying quiet until there is a beep. 3. Leave a message on beep. 4. Hangup. (in my scenario it's guaranteed to hit voicemail.) But the session isn't exiting properly after "hangup", with last statement being: " switch_core_session.c:1068 Session 1 (sofia/external/1002) Locked, Waiting on external entities". It doesn't go to CS_DONE state. I see [CRIT] level logs when shutting down freeswitch waiting for all these sessions to complete. But all these sessions are getting stuck while attempting to get a write lock on session object. I tried this with both 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 and the behavior is similar. Can someone please help? Or point me toward fixing it? Thanks, Gubbi.

by Francisco Scaramanga 26 Sep '09

Hi, I have configured the sample application gino's pizza . If I call FreeSwitch with a softphone, the call is established and a voice tells "Welcome to gino's pizza". So far so good, but in the console output I see the error "Can't open dictionary c: \freeswitch2\debug\grammar\default.dic." (complete console output see below) Where can I find the default.dic ? It cannot be found on my pc and google didn't find it. What can I do now?
