xml_curl dynamically register users problem

Brian thx for you help. 404 was my mistake it is "user not found" 2009-04-20 12:16:24 [WARNING] mod_dptools.c:2171 user_outgoing_channel() Can't find user [4000(a)200.49.25.11] To explain better my problem: i have two users, one 1000 and another 4000,the user 1000 is physically in the user directory of Freeswitch(FS) and the user 4000 is dynamically registered througth xml_curl. The request of FS when user 4000 wants to register is: sip_to_user:4000 tag_name:domain key_value:200.49.25.11 sip_contact_user:4000 section:directory sip_auth_method:REGISTER sip_auth_realm:200.49.25.11 sip_auth_username:4000 sip_user_agent:eyeBeam release 1004p stamp 31962 sip_auth_cnonce:f63211853d983216 sip_request_host:200.49.25.11 hostname:FreeSwitch_curl_XML ip:200.123.150.217 user:4000 action:sip_auth sip_profile:internal key_name:name sip_auth_qop:auth sip_from_user:4000 sip_to_host:200.49.25.11 key:id sip_auth_nonce:8fad7fae-2db9-11de-83c7-b10c5224858b domain:200.49.25.11 sip_auth_nc:00000006 sip_from_host:200.49.25.11 sip_auth_response:4db7a5476e949c8d133f55279d837b2f sip_auth_uri:sip:200.49.25.11 sip_contact_host:200.123.150.217 and the reply is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <document type="freeswitch/xml"> <section name="directory"> <domain name="200.49.25.11"> <user id="4000"> <params> <param name"password" value="4000"/> <param name="vm-password" value="4000"/> </params> <variables> <variable name="user_context" value="cualquiera"/> <variable name="sip-force-contact" value="NDLB-connectile- dysfunction"/> <variable name="user_context" value="default"/> </variables> </user> </domain> </section> </document> and the user 4000 register without problems. Can FS authenticate with multiple SIP trunk providers to provide redundancy in the event of the loss of connectivity to one or more providers?

More than one profile
by Woody Dickson 22 Apr '09

22 Apr '09

Hello In the wiki, it is suggested that more than one profile should be used if libsofia is the bottleneck. When using multiple profiles to handle incoming call and each profile having an unique port, what is the best way to redirect and distribute incoming traffic? Is there any mod in Freeswitch that can do that? For instance, I may have internal1( port 5070) and internal2 (port 5080). External incoming traffic hitting 5060 will need to be distributed to one of the two profiles. How should that be done? Regards, Woody

Re-2: Help with mod_managed under Windows
by Guido Kuth 22 Apr '09

22 Apr '09

Hi Michael, I found the problem. I had a version mismatch between mod_mamanged and my FS installation. So this is solved, but now I am running into the next problem. I have written a small Class that is nearly similar to the one on the wiki pages. The source is here (VB.NET) Imports FreeSWITCH Public Class AppDemo Inherits AppFunction Public Shadows Function Load() Log.WriteLine(LogLevel.Info, "Inside AppDemo Load.") Return True End Function Protected Overrides Sub Run() Session.Answer() Session.Hangup("NORMAL CLEARING") End Sub Protected Sub HangupHook() Log.WriteLine(LogLevel.Debug, "AppDemo hanging up, UUID: " + Me.Uuid.ToString()) End Sub End Class I copied the dll to the managed dir under mod in my FS installation. I reload FS. It loads mod_managed and the AppDemo Module as well, as you can see on console: 2009-04-22 09:32:33 [INFO] mod_managed.cpp:314 mod_managed_load() Loading mod_ma naged (Common Language Infrastructure), Microsoft CLR Version 2009-04-22 09:32:36 [NOTICE] switch_cpp.cpp:1098 console_log() loadAssemblies: E :\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\freeswitch-1.0.3\Debug\mod\managed 2009-04-22 09:32:42 [NOTICE] switch_cpp.cpp:1098 console_log() Function FSMMTest .AppDemo loaded. 2009-04-22 09:32:42 [CONSOLE] switch_loadable_module.c:857 switch_loadable_modul e_load_file() Successfully Loaded [mod_managed] 2009-04-22 09:32:42 [NOTICE] switch_loadable_module.c:239 switch_loadable_module _process() Adding Application 'managed' 2009-04-22 09:32:42 [NOTICE] switch_loadable_module.c:259 switch_loadable_module _process() Adding API Function 'managedrun' 2009-04-22 09:32:42 [NOTICE] switch_loadable_module.c:259 switch_loadable_module _process() Adding API Function 'managed' 2009-04-22 09:32:42 [NOTICE] switch_loadable_module.c:259 switch_loadable_module _process() Adding API Function 'managedload' When I now try to execute the App from console it gives an error. managed FSMMTest.AppDemo 2009-04-22 09:33:03 [ERR] switch_cpp.cpp:1098 console_log() Could not find funct ion FSMMTest.AppDemo. 2009-04-22 09:33:03 [ERR] mod_managed.cpp:393 managed_api_function() Execute fai led for FSMMTest.AppDemo (unknown module or exception). Re: [Freeswitch-users] VoiceXML
by Arsen Chaloyan 22 Apr '09

VXML is not only interesting but required concept. I'm not talking about VXML itself, but presence of specification. I still remember my confusion, when initially thinking about media and call control dialogs and interfaces I found out XML based languages such as VXML and CCXML. Nevertheless VXML clearly defines media dialogs: entities, state machines and transitions, which is just good. More over VXML 3.0 is under the way http://www.w3.org/TR/vxml30reqs/ If you check the authors list, it will be clear this is going to be another standart we should live with. 3.0 is rework of 2.1 version, added native support of audio/video dialogs, speaker identification/verification. FreeSWITCH as a platform is almost ready for that, what it is still missing is VXML interpreter itself. Regards, Arsen. www.unimrcp.org Date: Wed, 22 Apr 2009 09:41:50 +0200 From: "Remko Kloosterman" <R.Kloosterman(a)mtel.nl> Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] VoiceXML To: <freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> Message-ID: <11372C8B9E603F4FACDE6AB18256DEC60170F957(a)srvmtel.office.mtel.nl> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" I agree that the original commercial model used for VXML gets in the way of it's own success. It's also focussed way too much on ASR/TTS. I think we can all agree this technology is still a future promise, even after 10+ years. But technically VXML is an interesting concept, especially together with related standards like ccxml (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_Control_eXtensible_Markup_Language) The latter supports call transfer and conferencing. Every VoIP and TDM product I've worked with in the past has it's own application interface or is bound to an interface that's tailored for a special use (like pbx). I've also used voxeo's callxml, that's implemented with the CosmoCom ACD product. It's implementation is crappy, but the concept is nice. The idea of separating callcontrol+media (voice/swithing core) and application+ivr logic (vxml webserver cgi scripts) sounds rather appealing to me. Do you known the name of the free VXML editor/client that's out there? ________________________________ Van: freeswitch-users-bounces(a)lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] Namens Anthony Minessale Verzonden: woensdag 22 april 2009 3:58 Aan: freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org Onderwerp: Re: [Freeswitch-users] VoiceXML I was initially turned off by VXML when it came out because the first way they tried to make money off it was to sell the clients that let you build the actual xml. I was not really motivated to pay money to be able to just generate xml just so i could code a free server for it so I lost interest. I did hear there is now finally a free one out there. so that may make it a little more reasonable. I've commented in the past that I'm totally open to supporting VXML but we have never had the public interest, time or resources to work on it thus far. I ask because VoiceXML strikes me as being a bastard abomination of the highest order, whose sole saving grace is that it's a standardised bastard abomination. Or is Pocketsphinx the problem? autload_configs: Settings loaded even module isn't?

Hello I'd like to make sure I understand this correctly: It seems like all the settings found in autoload_configs/*.conf.xml are loaded, even if their parent module is commented out in modules.conf.xml? For instance: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 575 Apr 20 20:53 python.conf.xml But.. modules.conf.xml says: "" So does it mean that the mod_python settings in python.conf.xml will live in the final Freeswitch.xml file in RAM, even though mod_python itself isn't loaded?
