Truncated voice mail, FreeSWITCH or GFS?
by Marc Lewis 31 Jan '09

31 Jan '09

Running on trunk version 10295 as well as 10207, 10146 and 10067. The problem is with some voicemails being truncated between 8 and 35 seconds into the recording. This is when the person leaving the message is actively speaking, FS simply stops recording and processes the message (i.e. saves it and possibly emails it). Nothing is different in the logs for these messages from the ones that save normally, in other words, I can't seem to find a pattern at all. This is in a clustered environment with the FS nodes writing directly to fibre attached storage and using GFS as the shared storage filesystem. There are only 4 nodes all P4 2.8 or 3.0GHz Xeon's in this cluster and they don't have a huge load. They're all running stock Centos 5.2. The only task this cluster has is to run FS and the supporting web and database servers that go with it. The FS processes run exclusively on the node. Has anyone else seen this problem with voicemail? If not, I'm thinking that the problem may be with GFS, either timing out or prematurely closing the file. I'm in the process of testing trunk version 11543, but since the problem is intermittent I'm not sure if thats going to fix the problem. I'm primarily interested to see if anyone else is encountering similar issues with truncated voicemail to know if its my cluster. - Marc -- Marc Lewis Avvatel Corporation

Suggestion for limiting concurrent active calls
by shehzad p 31 Jan '09

31 Jan '09

Hi all Is there any way so that I can limit the concurrent active calls. When the call comes to Freeswitch server I route the calls to another Gateway using Javascript. While routing the call I will have Caller Gateway IP, Dialed Number and Destination Gateway IP, So how can I limit the calls based on Caller GW IP, Dialed Number and Destination GW IP. Thanks in advance. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Suggestion-for-limiting-concurrent-active-calls-tp217… Sent from the Freeswitch-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Javascript Dial and Print the UUID in event socket
by Gopalakrishnan A.N 31 Jan '09

31 Jan '09

Hi, I am using event socket. I am trying to dial a outbound number in Javascript (api jsrun <script> arguments) and need to bridge the call outside the javascript. Can we do this as a batch processing. When I run the script I tried to play a voice file, so that the session answer the call and a voice file is played in the other end. But I cant able to bridge the call outside of the script. And also I cant able to print the UUID of the established call by the session. Please assist me how to go ahead for this. -- Thank you with regards, Gopal,

Is Session.uuid the same as caller_profile/uuid in the cdr.xml?
by Brian Deacon 31 Jan '09

31 Jan '09

Hiya, So my xml cdr has just one uuid in it. (I guess the shape and contents of this are configurable? But I'm using however it defaults.) cdr/callflow/caller_profile/uuid I wouldn't have thought caller_profile would be where I'd find a session.uuid, but since that seems to be the only uuid in the cdr, I'm guessing that's it if it's there. Is that it? I'm going to be logging the start of a phone call using the session uuid as the PK for a log record and need to be able to update that record later with call duration information when the CDR comes through after hangup. compiling mod_openzap
by Dan 30 Jan '09

30 Jan '09

Hi guys I pulled FS from trunk today to build some debian packages and ran into this error when building mod_openzap: mod_openzap.c:2197: warning: assignment discards qualifiers from pointer target type I went ahead and changed the line at 2178 in mod_openzap.c from char *pcapfn = NULL; to const char *pcapfn = NULL; Do you see any problems with this change? Is pyrun available from mod_commands (and thus to mod_xml_rpc?)
by Brian Deacon 30 Jan '09

30 Jan '09

Maybe this is just missing documentation for mod_commands. I can run pyrun from fs_cli. Does that mean I can run it from mod_xml_rpc? Brian
