Change name shown on the ITSP or registered users
I would like to change the Freeswitch name shown when a users connects to or to the ITSP. So they will not know the name and version of FS. I would like to name it something like sip.lab.mydomain.org
You can do it in the SIP profile (under "user-agent-string"). But why would you want to hide the fact that you're using FS :-))) Prashant -- To save our tigers, save their habitat. Changing the UserAgent string usually causes more grief then not… no one sees it unless they go looking for it, and having it set properly allows you to ID things that might come from different softwares/versions to speed troubleshooting and interop along… If he is talking about the FreeSWITCH people see when you call their devices as part of caller ID, just set the caller id name/number variables in your dialplan….
