No caller ID sent to a bridged outside call
I am bridging a call from either inside or outside to an emergency number on an att cellphone which works fine. I am trying to pass the original caller id or anything else for that matter as the caller id/name. I only get "unknown". I also tried to send to a VOIP number and it also gets "unknown" so I am thinking it is not att. I tried various combinations of things I found on the web but nogo. Anyone see the problem below? Thanks! Mario <extension name="mx911"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^2911$"> <action application="set" data="effective_caller_id_name=Emergency"/> <action application="set" data="effective_caller_id_number=9161234567"/> <action application="set" data="hangup_after_bridge=true"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/gateway/uid1/19161112222"/> </condition> </extension>
Does the gateway uid1 allow to specify CID number? On Friday 24 September 2010, Mario wrote:

I looked around and am assuming you mean the line below. When I added it to the gateway the call would not go through: param name="caller-id-in-from" value="true" On 09/24/10 12:54, Sergey Okhapkin wrote:

No, I meant the gateway provider might not allow to specify CID number on outgoing calls. On Friday 24 September 2010, Mario wrote:

Sergey, I am sorry, but I really think you are the one who is confused :) From the wiki: {foo=bar} is *only* valid at the beginning of the dial string. It will set the same variables on every channel. [foo=bar] goes before every individual dial string and will set the variable values specified for only this user's dial string channel. From the wiki: {foo=bar} is *only* valid at the beginning of the dial string. It will set the same variables on every channel. [foo=bar] goes before every individual dial string and will set the variable values specified for only this user's dial string channel.

Tried the correction but nogo. I am trying to replace an SPA9000 which when it bridges the call to the cell phone passes the caller ID, so this must mean the ITSP works. I saw "Call-ID: 2b14dba5-0dc7-4545-b7f7-4747ca492f59" in the sofia trace. Since it's coded I don't know what was sent. I thought I would see that in a trace. I even tried: <action application="bridge" data="[sip_cid_type=none,effective_caller_id_number=4081234567]sofia/gateway/uid1/19161112222"/> On 09/24/10 13:28, Sergey Okhapkin wrote:

I have 2 ITSPs, I know that Callcentric does not allow you to set a callerid unless you register each caller id you want to pass with them first... not really useful. However, Voipyourlife did allow this and I am checking on how the old SPA9000 worked, it has a trace capability but it's been a few years. Will update when I find the answer. Thanks to all again!
