I have 2 ITSPs, I know that Callcentric does not allow you to set a callerid unless you register each caller id you want to pass with them first... not really useful. However, Voipyourlife did allow this and I am checking on how the old SPA9000 worked, it has a trace capability but it's been a few years. Will update when I find the answer. Thanks to all again! Mario,
To be on the safe side and to avoid we all waste time, just ask your carrier if they allow you to pass any CID, and if yes, in which field.

Tried the correction but nogo.
I am trying to replace an SPA9000 which when it bridges the call to the cell phone passes the caller ID, so this must mean the ITSP works.
I saw "Call-ID: 2b14dba5-0dc7-4545-b7f7-4747ca492f59" in the sofia trace. Since it's coded I don't know what was sent.
I thought I would see that in a trace. I even tried:
<action application="bridge" data="[sip_cid_type=none,effective_caller_id_number=4081234567]sofia/gateway/uid1/19161112222"/>

Correction:
bridge [sip_cid_type=none]sofia/etc
[] but not {}

Mario,
To save you some time, most carriers will accept in the FROM field. AFAIR, FS defaults to Remote-Party-Id, so perhaps you just need to set this before your dialstring: bridge {sip_cid_type=none}sofia/etc...

Does the gateway uid1 allow to specify CID number?

I am bridging a call from either inside or outside to an emergency number on an att cellphone which works fine. I am trying to pass the original caller id or anything else for that matter as the caller id/name. I only get "unknown". I also tried to send to a VOIP number and it also gets "unknown" so I am thinking it is not att. I tried various combinations of things I found on the web but nogo. Anyone see the problem below? Thanks! Mario
