Hello all, I am starting to learn about FreeSwitch. Are there any web application or interface to configure FreeSwitch? Could you recommend me one? Or have I all configure via cofigure files? I would like to use FreeSwitch as a communication background for automatic voice recognition for non english language. Firstly, the voice will be trasnscribed by quick writers, latter i would like to use automatic voice recognition. Do you think, that FreeSwitch is a good idea for this project? Thanks. Sunny

[Freeswitch-biz] Introductions

I can hear the virtual crickets chirping on this mailing list. There must be some business aspects of FreeSWITCH that can start some threads here on this list. I will start off by introducing myself to those of you who do not know me. I have attended every single Cluecon to date, and have even given presentations at two of them. In the past I have authored the original C++ mod_cdr event handler for FreeSWITCH. Unfortunately, life took me away from development for a couple years, and FreeSWITCH moved on in leaps and bounds since then. I am now trying to get back into the swing of things on the development side. The hard part now is trying to figure out what I can add now since FreeSWITCH has made such wonderful progress over the past 2 years since mod_cdr was last maintained. I am the head of a small company that was originally based out of Chicago. While we still have presence in Illinois, we now also have a presence in the central Texas region. We can provide installation and configuration services as well as custom module development in C and C++ for FreeSWITCH or interfacing with FreeSWITCH. Most importantly, as a long standing member of the FreeSWITCH community, I would like to see the business side of FreeSWITCH to grow and prosper, as it can lead to much growth and prosperity for the project and the community in the long term. -- Yossi Neiman President Cartis Solutions, Inc. [Freeswitch-biz] UK Sip Cellular Connections
by Magnus Kelly 13 Jun '07

Hello all, The asterisk biz list recommended that I enquire within the freeswitch community - As a UK alternative licensed low power gsm provider, (mapesbury -www.uk01.com) To check legitimacy see below link. Point is this allows us to interconnect direct to the major UK MNO's - the question I am trying to work out is whether this is of interest to the asterisk community in a sense of us offering IAX/SIP interconnect to the UK MNO's. We are busy forcing the issue on the ability to port uk mobile numbers and with a bit of luck will also be able to offer this as a service later this year (ported numbers and then delivered by SIP/IAX - Porting also allows numbers to come from within typical bundled minute packages) The interconnect rates for the major MNO's are regulated but might normally be "marked up" by traditional routes, we might also be able to assist with linked sms app's if interest) If any interest or questions - let me know - thanks magnus at uk01 dot mobi (http://www.ofcom.org.uk/radiocomms/ifi/licensing/classes/broadband/cell ular/pct/)
