DAHDI_SPANCONFIG failed on span 1: Invalid argument (22)
Hi, I am getting this error while configuring Digium 8 span PRI card. I am attaching system.conf, freetdm.conf, and freetdm.conf.xml here. Please help. -- Ashish Gautam Nucleus Microsystems (Pvt.) Ltd. Ph. 011 47574758
The problem got solved, it was related to FreeBSD platform. I am running the FS on FreeBSD and there is a parameter "default_linemode" which is needed to be passed to the wct4xxp module of dahdi (wct4xxp is the driver module in case of Digium 8 Span card). I made a little change in the base.c file in the source of the wct4xxp module as follows: on line 196 which says : static char default_linemode[] = "auto"; I changed "auto" to"e1" (in my case I have an e1 line) and it worked!!! Thanks On Mon, Jun 3, 2013 at 5:56 PM, Ashish gautam <ashish@nms.co.in> wrote:

Did you have the configuration to specify this was an e1? It sounds like you were just missing the config for that. On Jun 7, 2013, at 6:57 AM, Ashish gautam <ashish@nms.co.in> wrote:

I had made the required configuration in system.conf and we do not have the option to specify that the line is E1 or T1 in there. But yes in the freetdm.conf I had specified the line as E1. In linux we have a command to set the line mode for the Dahdi but in FreeBSD we don't have that, this is why I had to manually change the mode in the source.
