I posted a message earlier http://lists.freeswitch.org/pipermail/freeswitch-users/2014-October/108568.h... I was able to fix the database error. However FreeSwitch is still not able to take more than 240 calls at a time. Help on how to troubleshoot problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

To expand on Brian's comment: being able to have 10K concurrent calls and 500cps on a single box may be a complete awesome feat but that doesn't make it practical. I may have a race car that can top out at 250mph but that doesn't mean I should drive it that fast when cruising around town. If you have a business case for that many cps and concurrent calls then you're better off not putting all your eggs in one basket and instead scaling out horizontally. The last thing you need is for all 10K calls go down because of a server hiccup! -MC
We added Opensips in front of FreeSWITCH and use more than one FreeSWITCH to handle the CPS. 10k calls on one server would be very bad if it went down. You may want to use a few servers and have Opensips load balancer to handle the traffic. My mistake i did not explained my needs properly. I am developing a carrier grade VOIP solution with Kamilio in front and FreeSwitch in back for media handling. There is no transcoding and it will be purely pass through implementation. My target is to handle around 30-40K concurrent calls and obviously not on a single server. I was hoping to put 5 servers with good configuration to handle this kind of load. What do you suggest to handle this kind of load? How many servers shall i put for FreeSwitch? I know kamailio can handle this kind of load in load failover cluster mode. On Tue, Oct 14, 2014 at 5:18 AM, Andrew <aademattia@comcast.net> wrote:

So, what are new error messages or diagnostics? How heavily is CPU or memory utilized? I posted a message earlier http://lists.freeswitch.org/pipermail/freeswitch-users/2014-October/108568.h... I was able to fix the database error. However FreeSwitch is still not able to take more than 240 calls at a time. Help on how to troubleshoot problem would be greatly appreciated.
