Hi Sean I'm sure you've tried this already, but ... [I'm still running an ancient version, but] ISTR fS dying and then having a problem with the "old" pid file hanging around and having permissions problems with that on re-start. Ended up removing the file & starting fS again. [Vaguely recall it was partially my fault as I got the chown permissions wrong, and had problems with the other files as well] Good luck.
