You need to check to see which of their proxy is closest to you and that and then add ip address to your host file with entry sip.broadvoice.com you have to do same thing to get asterisk to work with them as well. Apparently, FreeSwitch tries to look up "BroadWorks" in DNS and doesn't find anything, because that's not an existing DNS name.
I don't think that is what is going on. Have these guys never heard of freakin SRV records. :P
