It'd be better to have a module within FreeSWITCH that hooks into that state. If you collect CDRs via ESL you risk missing some calls if your ESL connection drops. On 21 September 2014 03:00, Vladimir Ralev <vladimir.ralev@gmail.com> wrote:
Is there an ESL event for reporting state? In any case CHANNEL_DESTROY seems good enough in kazoo and it's better to filter out redundant events.

Based on channel_destroy? cdrs should be done in the reporting state before destroy.

Hi, It shouldn't affect performance at all. CDR events are usually 2-3 per call max. Kazoo record CDRs based on CHANNEL_DESTROY and it travels FreeSwitch->mod_kazoo(mod_erlang)->epmd->ecallmgr->RabbitMQ/AMQP (fanout at that iirc) -> multiple consumers (CDR app is one of them). Rabbit is by far the most robust link in this scenario in my experience.

Hi has anyone used FreeSWITCH with your cdrs going to rabbitmq? Will the rabbit mq interfere with FreeSWITCH? Like take up TCP ports? Or impact performance? Thanks Andre
