Installing freeswitch on a raspberry pi is absolutely no different than any other linux system… I downloaded, Compiled and ran FreeSWITCH without incident. It just took a long time to compile. Its always best to actually try something you may be shocked in the results. ;) -- Brian West brian@freeswitch.org FreeSWITCH Solutions, LLC PO BOX 2531 Brookfield, WI 53008-2531 Twitter: @FreeSWITCH_Wire , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED) On Dec 4, 2013, at 8:37 AM, Hans Bakker <hansmbakker@gmail.com> wrote:
Anthony,
I think switchpi.org is not the best source for information because it only gives some source code and info for addons to make freeswitch interface with oldschool phones. It is an interesting project but it doesn't give any information about installing FreeSwitch on a Raspberry, or how to build it, etc
Besides that it would be better if people would bundle their experiences on the wiki because on this mailing list information can't be found easily.
On the wiki there are http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Raspi and https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Raspberry_PI-specific_documentation, but they need to be updated.
Boris Manojlovic has a repository where you can download deb packages prebuilt for Raspberry PI.
Who will update these pages?
Kind regards,
Hans
