I do not believe that any such trial licensing exists for this capability. However, the licensing is rather reasonable, and you would be helping the project by obtaining the required licenses. They seem to be $10 US per channel. http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_com_g729 http://www.freeswitch.org/node/249 -Yossi On 11/29/2013 11:28 AM, Joli Martinez wrote:
How about if I want to have the users check their VM or do transcoding. Is there a free or trial version?

As Andrew says G729-G729 don't need a license as they can just pass the raw data through (passthrough mode).

You can pass g729 through using mod_g729. The only time you need a licence and mod_g729_com is if you need freeswitch to break into the media stream to record the call or to do voicemail, etc.

I am looking to do some tests from my Freeswitch box to 2-3 sip clients over the WAN. This will only be a test and not for production. Is there a way to get g729 for free for testing purpose, or maybe a trial version. We will need the ability to make and receive calls on the sip clients from both internal and external callers. If the project goes into production we will buy the appropriate lic for it.
