Oh, that's great. I've been wanting to give it a try but I haven't gotten time to even start yet. I've setup four of these little ERL's so far and they've been working great. ------ Original Message ------ From: "Jungle Boogie" <jungleboogie0@gmail.com> To: "FreeSWITCH Users Help" <freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org> Sent: 4/24/2014 6:55:41 PM Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Dual WAN router suggestions

Another option is the Ubiquiti EdgeMax routers.

They run Debian/Vyatta for the OS. The web gui works pretty well for most tasks but you would probably want to configure any advanced stuff from the command line. You can also install pure Linux on them or even FreeBSD (so I've read). The hardware is pretty powerful given the cost.
Yes, edgerouter lite certainly can run FreeBSD: http://rtfm.net/FreeBSD/ERL/
I have ERL on my desk powered up with a newer freeBSD that's on the site, but no time to play with it yet.

+1 on Mikrotik.

Hi,
You should really check Mikrotik’s router boards (http://routerboard.com/.) I have used openwrt, dd-wrt or pfsense before but the rb750 is the best router I have encoutered so far and also, the price is really low for the numbers of features you get.
Basically, under $40 you can have all you need like multi-wan, vpn, qos and with a nice fast command line or window-based interface. There is a learning step but it really worth it; for example, you can program a script to clear all conntrack rules preventing failover when the main wan link fails.
Hope this helps.

Hello All
This is not a freeswitch question. I am sorry.
But looking for a Dual WAN router suggestion?
I try the pfSense and find a huge limitation, when WAN interface down. It keeps the firewall states and phones never able to connect through the second wan, unless someone clear the firewall rules manually.
Any suggestions appreciated
Thank you LLoyd
