My comments were speaking to the US market... Everyone resells everyone... The entire market is built on arbitage... I¹ve actually worked at a IXC where we were taking traffic from ${major_carrier_A} and sending them out ${major_carrier_B} and someone else was taking the same call from B and sending it back to A... Which caused major loops On 4/22/14 2:23 PM, "Cal Leeming [Simplicity Media Ltd]" <cal.leeming@simplicitymedialtd.co.uk> wrote:
One extra thing, the comments made here are specifically relating to the UK market.
For the US and other countries, YMMV :)

In the UK you could go direct with BT or Kcom, but this is really only designed for people who are pushing serious amounts of committed and consistent traffic levels.
Rather than looking at your options in terms of "real enterprise providers", look at it in terms of "who are they reselling?".
Avoid resellers of resellers, and find the sweet spot between flexibility and cost that suits your use case.

Broadvox and Peerless are Resellers of someone else also... Flowroute like every other carrier out there operates their own switching gear, customer service and other departments...
Companies like Broadvox do not own 100% of their routes to every end office out there. (and I would guess a very large percentage of their long haul traffic goes to tier 3+ IXCs that you have never even heard of) as is the same with Peerless, Level3, and every other carrier on that level

Flowrout in my opinion is not an enterprise carrier-grade SIP trunk provider, they are a business consumer provider, the same is with vitality, they are a reseller of someone, I am looking for a real Enterprise provider, I have an option between 'Broadvox' and 'peerless network' does anyone have information on them?
