Thanks Ken. I am just originating the call and forwarding it to the SIP trunk provider. I am not sure if it involves any encoding/decoding or transcoding. It seems it does not as I could originate the call with g729 codec successfully. Thanks, Raj On Sunday 01 December 2013 11:30 PM, Ken Rice wrote:
the the answer to your question is will freeswitch be the one actively encoding/decoding or transcoding the g729... if the answer is yes to that question then you require g729 licensing

I have a question regarding usage of g729 codec for one of my application. My application dial outs using originate command. My SIP trunk providers supports g729. Do I need a g729 license?
Thanks,
Raj
