Tim - are you using mod_g729 or mod_com_g729? -Steve On 14 September 2010 15:32, David Ponzone <david.ponzone@ipeva.fr> wrote:
Tim,
I dont think there is any proper G729 pass-through configuration. If a call is G729-passthrough, it should have (AFAIK) the same CPU-footstep than G711.
Do you have G729 licenses on the host ? If yes, are you sure they are not used ? Have your checked your logs for any transcoding issues ? (grep ERR freeswitch.log | grep -i transcod)

Can someone help point me toward proper configuration of G.729 pass through. I have a system with Dual Quad Core Xeons. It will hold up 1000 G.711u calls no problem with cpus 80% idle, however if I switch to G.729 I spike the cpu's at around 400 calls. _______________________________________________ FreeSWITCH-users mailing list FreeSWITCH-users@lists.freeswitch.org http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/listinfo/freeswitch-users UNSUBSCRIBE:http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/options/freeswitch-users http://www.freeswitch.org
