I can't find a proper bug report for this on Jira yet, so that would be a good start to get things changed.. /Peter ________________________________________ Från: freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] för Patrick Lists [freeswitch-list@puzzled.xs4all.nl] Skickat: den 23 oktober 2011 19:02 Till: FreeSWITCH Users Help Ämne: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Make error on Scientific Linux 6.1 On 10/23/2011 06:46 PM, Abdul Basit wrote:
Cliff,
I faced the same issue. Please see your gcc version. Install gcc < 4.5 because they have changed something regarding paths.
If something changed in gcc which makes FreeSWITCH compilation fail, especially on RHEL/CentOS/SL 6.0/6.1 then that should be fixed in FreeSWITCH. Deploying an unsupported version of gcc just to be able to compile FreeSWITCH does not make sense. Since the release of RHEL 6 & 6.1 I have come across several software packages that no longer compiled. They compiled again after the developers got a proper bug report so they could create a fix. It would make sense if something similar was done for FreeSWITCH.
