I do have a minor (and weird) NSS issue on the working system: one particular module (mod_cdr_pg_csv) won't auto-load due to some nss linking error, but once FS is running, I can load it by hand. Cliff

If something changed in gcc which makes FreeSWITCH compilation fail, especially on RHEL/CentOS/SL 6.0/6.1 then that should be fixed in FreeSWITCH. Deploying an unsupported version of gcc just to be able to compile FreeSWITCH does not make sense. Since the release of RHEL 6 & 6.1 I have come across several software packages that no longer compiled. They compiled again after the developers got a proper bug report so they could create a fix. It would make sense if something similar was done for FreeSWITCH. Regards, Patrick

Issue remains the same. For the record, I deleted the entire tree, and did a fresh git clone before trying, since the last comment in that issue indicated this might be required. Cliff

One last bit of info: This will get you compiled, but various modules won't load at runtime for the same reason (unresolved symbols in libnss3, etc). The solution is to add this to the top of /etc/init.d/freeswitch: export LD_PRELOAD="/usr/lib64/libnss3.so /usr/lib64/libnspr4.so /usr/lib64/libplds4.so" At this point it seems to work fine. Possibly, but since /usr/lib64 is the default system lib dir, I'd think that if this were the issue, we'd also see things like /usr/lib/libc.so not being resolved. It appears to me that libnss3 *is* found in /usr/lib64, but for some reason, doesn't automatically load the other two libraries that it depends on, which is where we see the unresolved symbols. In any case, I've already put the system in question into production, so experiments in this regard will have to wait until later this week when I setup another system. As an aside, I also spotted a bug in configure that repeatedly passes -L/usr/lib6464 as an argument to gcc, but fixing this didn't appear to resolve any issues. Cliff

Ha, yes: for f in `find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 grep -l "lib6464"`; do sed -i s/lib6464/lib64/g $f done ;-) I may take an actual look at fixing it now that my major issue is out of the way (I had to have that box up for production this morning). Cliff
