[Freeswitch-users] Distinctive Ring

Forgot to mention everything after the “alert_info=“ is dependent on the phone, the SPA962 used n=, so the whole string might be alert_info=n=Work1. We hated the SPA phones and replaced them with Yealinks (we love those) and their alert_info is very different: alert_info=<http://127.0.0.1>;info=Work1

If it does not work simply find the syntax for alert_info on the SPA504G needs assuming it’s different from the SPA962, I assume it’s the same. Good luck.

> I did exactly that in the SPA962 phones, it’s simple when you find the answer. You assign the ringtones a name in the phones. Then, in the bridge you add alert-info. In the example below I passed the variable from a LUA, but you could replace it with a name like Family, Friends, Work, etc. they match the phone names exactly. Then when it bridges the phone rings that tone regardless of the line it comes in on. I also think you can use it in a set command instead of the bridge but I forgot which one, export?

We use Cisco SPA504Gs which have 10 system and 2 user defined rings to choose from for “default ring”. They also have 10 “alternate ring patterns”, but I am at a loss how to cause the phone to use an alternate ringer.
