Unfortunately, I don't think there's any docs or assurances of
functionality when using the new SS7 functionality in FreeTDM with
ss7boxd. I'd love to hear otherwise. If they are interoperable,
Sangoma has neglected to offer this as a solution to us in many
conversations, instead focusing on upselling us to Trillium. This is
why I'm not thinking they are compatible (I currently choose to believe
that over the alternative).

The last I looked, boost support had been pulled from git. This is what
I was referring to in my reply to Moy.
