XML_CURL and static XML (loaded in memory)
Is it possible to load freeswitch with static XML and then load mod_xml_curl? It seems FreeSWITCH does not work correctly when this is done. Here is an example: In freeswitch.xml, I have: <section name="directory" description="User Directory"> <X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="include" data="static/directory.xml"/> </section> This loads my directory configuration statically in memory. After I start FreeSWITCH, I load mod_xml_curl with 'fs_cli> load mod_xml_curl' (mod_xml_curl is not loaded when freeswitch starts) Here is my XML_CURL configuration: <configuration name="xml_curl.conf" description="cURL XML Gateway"> <bindings> <binding name="default"> <param name="gateway-url" value="192.168.0.158" bindings="directory" /> </binding> </bindings> </configuration> FreeSWITCH does not seem to function properly after XML_CURL is loaded. If I run the 'user_data' API, FS hangs there for a long time and eventually returns the password from memory (it does not make an XML_CURL request) Here is example: fs_cli> user_data 1000@domain.com param password I guess the ultimate question is this: Is there any way to setup XML_CURL to failover to static XML (loaded in memory)? Thanks!
Hello, I don't think you can use both at the same time... One option is to write the xml dinamically from the xml-curl server before reloading it... cheers On Thu, Jun 7, 2012 at 2:56 PM, Vik Killa <vipkilla@gmail.com> wrote:

This sounds like the curl request is timing out. I'd look outside FS to see what's wrong. -MC On Thu, Jun 7, 2012 at 5:56 AM, Vik Killa <vipkilla@gmail.com> wrote:

I have multiple logs setup to record every XML_CURL request. FreeSWITCH never makes an XML_CURL request in my example setup. It seems FreeSWITCH will not function if it has static XML (dialplan, directory, and/or configuration) loaded as well as XML_CURL loaded (and binding to dialplan, directory, and/or configuration).
I would check Ray's recipes from the cookbook. I think he explicitly talks about dynamic w/ static failover. I don't know that he specifically discusses the directory, but I don't know if that is different than dialplan or other configs. -MC On Mon, Jun 11, 2012 at 9:04 AM, Vik Killa <vipkilla@gmail.com> wrote:

I don't see anything related to XML_CURL in the cookbook. Would you know what page or chapter to look in? On Mon, Jun 11, 2012 at 12:11 PM, Michael Collins <msc@freeswitch.org> wrote:

D'oh! I'm thinking of the recipes that Ray sent to me for *possible *inclusion in the cookbook. They never actually made it in. Never mind. All I can say is make sure that "accept-blind-reg" and "auth-calls" are not set to false in your SIP profile, otherwise you won't get xml_curl calls for those operations. -MC On Mon, Jun 11, 2012 at 9:18 AM, Vik Killa <vipkilla@gmail.com> wrote:
