There's been some notice posted on the wiki page for the last two weekly conferences about LRN. mod_lcr currently has no support for LRN, nor do I know where to get a full database before the fact. I did have a few ideas for how to shoehorn LRN into mod_lcr without taking the whole thing apart, I put up some notes at: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_lcr#LRN_Placeholder If those of you in the know could comment, that would be appreciated. -Avi Marcus

For the full database of LRN or intraLATAs, http://localcallingguide.com/lca_rcdist.php is a good place to scrape. Frank, I think you've misunderstood: we already have a npa/lata/state DB: http://files.freeswitch.org/npa-nxx-companytype-ocn.csv What we need is to know when a number has been ported to another rate center (and thus the LRN is a new rate center and we are charged differently). I don't see anywhere on that site to put in a full USA number, only NPA/NXX. There is one place - http://www.callwithus.com/API#lrn that does LRN lookups for .0003. I can pretty easily see creating a script to cache the results and only check before calling a new number. Also, grn/ezcall logs can be harvested - after the fact. With both of these together - is it possible to group together to maintain a list, automatically? e.g. the script that looks up will also submit to one of our DBs. There's local caching, coding issue, conflict resolution, cache age, and infrastructure which makes this not a simple project... -Avi On Wed, Nov 24, 2010 at 3:05 AM, Frank Park <frank@telonium.com> wrote:

Just a note on LRN cache most providers make it against TOS to cache the data - LRN data is updated numerous times a day and what's valid on your first lookup can change in the next hour - so realtime is the only real way to do LRN Sent from my iPhone 4 On Nov 23, 2010, at 5:25 PM, Avi Marcus <Avi@aMarcus.com> wrote:

Callwithus supposedly stores your LRN lookup in your accong for you, so you don't lose it. It sounds like they wholeheartedly agree with caching. Also, while the entire DB is rapidly changing, each number doesn't get ported very often. If ever. -Avi On Wed, Nov 24, 2010 at 4:46 AM, Mike Burlingame <mike.burlingame@me.com>wrote:
