Hi all! I'm using event sockets to remotely drive freeswitch. Is there a read like functionality for speak that can be used with event sockets, for example: Something like: SendMsg <uuid> call-command: execute execute-app-name: speak execute-app-arg: 1 10 'press 1 for option A and 2 for option B' digits 10000 # Thanks in advance, Boris
You'll wanna use the event socket in async mode to get the DTMF events. If you watch it you'll get an event for every time someone presses a button then in your script you collect them all up. /b On Jul 25, 2008, at 12:09 PM, Boris Krivonog wrote:

One way to handle DTMF collection with event sockets is to enable DTMF events to be reported as they occur. By sending "myevents" at the once the event socket is ready, that will cause DTMF events to bubble up as they occur, and your logic can deal with stopping the audio, etc. --Woof!
Yes, I noticed the DTMF event, but wanted to be comfortable :) as with read, which does all the work for me. However, how do I cancel the speak operation in progress to simulate barge? Thanks, Boris On Fri, Jul 25, 2008 at 7:44 PM, Andy Spitzer <woof@pingtel.com> wrote:

I think you can accomplish that by executing the break application. On Jul 25, 2008, at 1:43 PM, Boris Krivonog wrote:

Yep, break seems to be the magic word. Thanks for help, Boris On Fri, Jul 25, 2008 at 8:49 PM, Brian West <brian@freeswitch.org> wrote:
